So in December I decided one item on my "want to do in 2018" would be dance lessons. The first class I went to was line dance. Jo, our instructor, is wonderful!! The beginner class is 30 minutes long and costs $5! We learned several line dances and had the best time. Once you feel ready you can graduate yourself to novice class which starts right after the beginnners where you can learn a little harder dances. Once every 3 weeks they have a Friday night dance at the studio! So excited!!! The studio is large and open- inviting and big enough to hold a good sized group. My next class will be west coast swing! Can't wait to try that one too!!! I think all the Yelp family needs to come join me :-)

So my son is only 2 they don't offer hip hop classes but none the less I still wanted him in dance to start learning fundamentals. I CALLED THE OWNER ROBIN BEFORE THE SCHOOL YEAR EVEN STARTED ABOUT CONCERNS OF HIM BEING THE ONLY BOY... she assured me he would be just fine that her kids danced at young ages. Here we are more than 1/2 way through the dance season and my son has not been involved in ANY of his dance class photos (not a single one!!), she refers to the dance class of "princesses", when she CLEARLY HAD A PRINCE IN THERE, and then she has the audacity to order my son a GIRLS DANCE RECITAL COSTUME.. then failed to tell me I had to learn this information from his school!!! I emailed her about my concerns and instead of apologizing she said "thanks for the email" THIS LADY ROBIN IS A JOKE AND I SUGGEST TAKIKG YOUR KIDS ELSEWHERE!!!!!!

The communication between the instructors and the parents is NONEXISTENT. In many cases they don't even know the kids' names.

Recital and dress rehearsal scheduling is disastrous in every way. Be prepared to drive back and…read moreforth to Birmingham a half dozen times over the course of a week to dance for 10 minutes in total. Imagine carting your entire family to four or five recitals to watch your child dance for two minutes per show? Hours of unnecessary travel and sit around and wait because of their inability to schedule. Don't forget, you'll need to take off work and check your child out of school for rehearsals. Oh, and you'll need to buy tickets to all these different shows for everyone at $20 each, including even your dancer! Simply not an enjoyable, family-centered experience. to conclude a year of class fees in the thousands.

I feel like she is getting a great dance education and having a great time while learning. I've always felt like the kids come first there and decisions are made in their best interests.
