I went here and got my septum and lip pierced. Jojo is fantastic! I was in and out very fast. The lip piercing i ultimately took out (but not due to the piercer - I had to take it out for dentist appointment and lost it - then when I finally got home to put a replacement in, the hole had closed up). I still have my septum and literally zero pain! This guy is magic. He obviously knows what he is doing. I am thinking of a few more piercings so I will be headed back to Freakshow. read more

The wait time for our artist to get the concept draft didn't take long, and I appreciate how friendly, humorous, yet professional our artist and the entire staff was. I ended up getting a piercing once I was done with my tattoo, and the piercer was fast and informative! I also told her I was traveling from out of town, and she was very kind to ensure I has enough cleaning solution for my trip and when I left back home. Got my ears and nose pierced here and they did a great job. One time my earring fell out and I lost the stud and the hole healed up. They re-pierced my ear for free and only charged me for the new stud. Also the staff are very friendly, and they play good music. read more

He was super quick, clean, and willing to help when I texted him the night before wanting to change parts of my prospective tattoo. Came in for a nose piercing, unscheduled (there was only one other customer there and I felt spontaneous). The piercer was rude and called me basic for asking what kind of jewelry they would recommend/if i could start with a stud (I had not had any facial piercings, felt like the question was justified). The best experience I've had getting a piercing! I came in with a group of 10 people, and most of us were getting 2-3 piercings, and the staff was so kind and patient with our group. We saw Jo-Jo, and he is an amazing piercer. He was funny, super kind, and very quick with the piercings. The piercings all looked amazing, were much less painful than other piercings I've gotten, and he made everybody feel very comfortable! We drove about 45 minutes to go see him and I would make the drive again! read more

Got my cartilage pierced. 3 days later my ear was so swelled and deformed. Couldn't get the earring out since it was a flat back..so we had to go to the emergency room a 1am to get it removed. The doctor didn't know whether it was infected or whether I had an allergic reaction to the metal. Either way it was extremely painful and a hassle because I have to take antibiotics for 7 days. Otherwise, it seemed cleaned and the piercer was really friendly! I would just be careful if you have sensitive ears or just in general with getting a piercing done there. read more

I have been to Freakshow many times and have always LOVED the work. The piercers are very skilled and will make you feel comfortable. And, they are always offering free piercing deals. They have a huge selection of jewelry. The tattoo artists are all great. I have had Logan Nard, and he did an amazing job. Not only did he understand what I want, he made it better. The atmosphere is relaxing and they let you watch whatever movie you want if you have to sit for a while. I cant say enough good things about this place. This is a fantastic, clean tattoo shop. They've won many awards for running the best tattoo shop in Fort Collins, and it shows immediately upon walking in. Large sprawling grafitti covers the wall to the left and very original tattoo designs adorn the entire wall to the right. i recommend tattoo artist Joe -- My friend Luci has her work done by him, and he's fantastic. They felt rushed, the Artist had no personality, was rude, and didn't even get to look at their tattoos when finished. I went in to get my second tattoo from Topher. Previously, he had been very nice and easy going. This time, he was very impolite and honestly frightened me a bit. I had a vision for a tattoo, which involved specifically a semi colon. When it was over, the semi-colon looked like a literal sperm. I left without any complaining because I just wasn't sure what to do. After it healed, I went back in to get a touch up on the semi-colon and a few other areas that had faded. When I did, Topher was extremely short with me and rude. I was not being mean or impolite in anyway, I was trying to be extremely nice and professional. After the touch up was done it still looked like a semi-colon/sperm. I asked if he could fix it to make it look like a semi-colon, and he literally told me "I was being nit picky"...This honestly made me not trust him and ruined my entire experience at this shop. Given I was not even asking for something ridiculous. I simply was asking if he could make the semi-colon a little neater. As this was my body, I find it extremely unprofessional of an artist to say something like that. I would not recommend this place to anyone who wants something done to them with their priorities in mind. read more

He ended up doing it free hand how he wanted it(should've known) and it doesn't look bad but it's not what I wanted at all. The girl who bent the nose jewelry I got made it too short and I can't wear either of them because of the shape of the inside of my nose. I spent $40 for shit I can't use. I will say that the guy at Rocksteady told me the jewelry would be a different price... maybe he was confused. I'm not sure. But I've had a shitty tattoo experience there now so I suggest staying away from all three of these. Freakshow, Rocksteady, and Covenant. Millennium down in old town has been nothing but friendly, quality service with a clean environment and a relaxed but professional atmosphere. Matt is a piercing WIZARD! I got three piercings from him, all perfect placement. I was worried about the pain at first, but he's got madddskillz so none of them (nostril, ear lobe, helix) hurt too badly! (I've gotten other things pierced in the past by different people, it was always a hella painful experience.) He stands by his work through and through, so if you ever have issues with any of your piercings (e.g. it starts to reject, etc) he'll repierce you for free.
