I enjoyed lunch so much I went back for dinner with two friends. For lunch I had pizza. I am a fan…read moreof good pizza, this was excellent. The crust was thin and had just the right amount of sauce l, cheese and toppings. I put chili olive oil on top and crushed peppers and added a great pop to the pizza. For dinner I had the lasagna al pesto. This had the green pesto sauce instead of a tomato ragu. Delicious! I'm going back to try some of the other specialties. Service was excellent, no waiting for lunch but dinner you should make reservations. Mostly Italian spoken, but proprietor also speaks Spanish. Very nice people.

Woman at the counter did not seat me but offered me the dessert and coffee to go. She Stated this is a pizza restaurant not a bar. Ouch! I understand the concept of her restaurant but her delivery was very discouraging. As an American visiting for the 1st time I felt embarrassed and uncomfortable. However I sucked it up and took my items to go minus the wine. I can tell this is not a normal thing as I was given the coffee in the equivalent of a plastic shot glass and a strip of foil paper covering it. She knocked me up for $7. I'll be here for 3 more days and will NEVER take the 3 steps it takes from my hotel to return. Even the two employees looking on were puzzled. They stared at me the whole time and one was shaking his head at the woman as if to gesture "unbeleavable"
Pleasant enough atmosphere

I had the Caponata, and the pizza with pears and prosciutto (I asked the waitress for her recommendation with Google Translate). Definitely should have ordered just the pizza, so much food for one person but I carried on and finished it. Looked like they did take away as well in case you wanted to buy a pizza and go somewhere nearby to eat. House white wine was prosecco (at least I think so, it had bubbles) for around €3 a glass/mini carafe. All in all paid €26 for a meal that could have fed two people. Can't recommend this place enough

Truly delicious. We had a fantastic dinner outside on the courtyard, quintessential of an Italian neighborhood spot. It is not often where I enjoy a meal with lines of clothes hung above the buildings, but somehow it just works in Italy. The dessert pana cotta is a must. This assignment my first time ever eating potato and octopus, which I really enjoyed. Skip the bread basket - not needed, since the focaccia is what you really need to order.

My real mission is to be honest so that others don't order the same plates. I wish I had the same advice and it would have been a much better experience. I had the warm octopus and potato salad. The octopus was nicely cooked but it didn't have any flavor. No salt or anything. Disappointing. Then my pasta was tagliatelle with a whole lobster. Pasta was nicely cooked but the lobster was almost raw. I love lobster, but this was was just too raw for me to eat. The tuna tartare was huge, but didn't have any flavor. The fish ravioli with Genovese pesto sauce was full of flavor and was probably the best plate of the night. Lots of options in the area.
Octopus with potato and the pickled red onion was perfect

The menu and wine list are extensive, focusing on Neapolitan-style pizza, and the kitchen did a great job on the trofie al pesto and calamari fritti I had, Genovese classics both. From the number and variety of pizzas constantly being brought to others' tables, I could see that this place does a good job on them, too. It's a large, commodious place, with ample seating inside, at the bar, and outside al fresco. The bar has a nice big TV, which was showing one of the Euro 16 games when I visited, and the patrons were all enjoying themselves in that friendly expansive way that makes Italians such great people to meet and talk to.
