This is one of the new Franprix, with a test kitchen and fun seating arrangements and mochi you can buy right out of the freezer. Very clean, with an excellent selection, and just steps from Rue Montorgeuil. read more

I found the small store to be very well stocked with similar prices as monoprix/franprix which was awesome, as in the states, convenience-store like places are usually much higher. It is in my heart because it has everything I could ever want in such a small storefront. It has a salad bar with a wide variety of veggies and other goodies to create your favorite salad to take away. Plus, they have a solid produce section. They have a variety of dairy milk alternatives and they have quite the variety of yogurts, as far as what kind of milk you're looking for. For example, dairy, goat, sheep, low-fat, full-fat, with a particular fruit. They have so much more including non-food products such as toiletries and miscellaneous hardware stuff. Everyone is really friendly encouraging you to work on learning French.

The store is convenient since they do open early and close fairly late. They have plenty of things and since they have two floors of space you can find almost everything you need on your vacation. If you are in the area this place is easy to shop in and you can pay cash or credit card.

The product section was not large but in general grocery stores in France and other countries are not big especially in the big cities like Paris selection is going to tight and limited. Tips. 1. Bring your own bags 2. Don't expect Winn Dixie Customer service 3. Looking for Lucky Charms isn't going to happen 4. Produce may look like it's expiring but it's not is still fresh and good. 5. The freezer section is going to be incredibly small and limited. 6. Expect a whole aisle of bottled waters Lastly, take pics and pick up bags of Lays flavored Roasted Chicken potato chips. Enjoy.

We only really used this grocer toward the beginning of the trip when we weren't yet familiar with our surroundings. If you venture out about 5 minutes, there's a large Carrefour Market with better selection. They have most things a groceries store would carry, just less selection; fruits, cereal, cookies, bread, cheese, milk, laundry detergent, snacks etc. Funny note: I went to the 8 à Huit after having gone to pick up a coffee from McDonald's. I put down my coffee cup to get money, and the cashier/owner picked up my cup and tried to scan it, and then consequently spilled half my coffee. I guess it was more frustrating than anything - have you seen me without my morning caffeine fix? Not pretty!

Oui, oui there are grocery stores in Paris, not only Michelin restaurants and fancy cafés! One such grocery store is Franprix. It carries everything you need to cook that homemade meal (popular during quarantine life *sigh*), lots of fresh fruit and a myriad of affordable juices! Beer and Champagne too, Coco! Sure, we need food for sustenance, but damn, make sure it taste amazing! So when in Paris, and missing Trader Joe's or Sprouts (like Yelp friend, Linh describes), Franprix is your Parisian answer. On my visits I especially love the nice help-yourself bakery if I'm craving croissants, baguettes, etc. and on the run! Franprix is owned by my French friend Fran C. Haha inside joke! Kidding aside it's a French grocery chain located all over Paris. Founded back in the 1950's. So my French friends must be doing something right;) This particular location is just blocks from La Eiffel Tower, but really it's everywhere across metropolitan Paris. In the end, I recommend Franprix to anyone looking for a quick healthy bite or a quenching drink after a long walk to-and-fro the museums. It's grocery store affordable and the European staff very friendly (most bilingual: French, English). Trés Trader Joelie for the win!
