My ex and I started our divorce trying to mediate with Renee. I have never been through it before…read moreso I didn't know what to expect. What you should know up front is that Renee can not speak to any legalities as she is not an attorney. Which also means she doesn't know all the laws as a divorce attorney might. Save yourself the time and hire an actual attorney. As time went on our dealings with Renee became insufferable. Conversations where she would talk non stop, not listen, to the point where my ex and I would actually get off the phone and laugh about how absurd it was, together. Mistakes were made and info was not given as it should have been. We eventually cut ties and went through attorneys which Renee herself will recommend. She was often rude, short, and overly bossy about our case. She failed to inform me that CA law does not allow parents to not pay child support even if both parents agree on that. That was a very important piece of information I only got from an attorney and was never informed of from Renee. Overall, it will be more expensive to hire an attorney but I highly recommend just going that route to begin with and get someone who knows how to handle a divorce properly.

My experience with ADS was a wonderful experience. Renee is an experienced professional. She is not…read moreonly courteous, but she is an active listener. At our first consultation, she walked us through each step as she informed us of our rights and responsibilities. During our mediation appointment, Renee systematically reviewed each portion of our stipulated judgement. She was thorough and knowledgeable throughout the two hours and she was very helpful during the entire process. Renee responded quickly to emails and phone calls and was supportive to both parties. I highly recommend Alternative Divorce Solutions.

From the owner: Our Firm Specializes in Alternative Dispute Resolution(Negotiation, Arbitration, and Mediation)…read more Negotiation is the process of parties bargaining in an attempt to reach an agreement. Parties often negotiate the terms of a contract prior to entering into the contract. Arbitration is a procedure in which a dispute is submitted, by agreement of the parties, to one or more arbitrators who make a binding decision on the dispute. In choosing arbitration, the parties opt for a private dispute resolution procedure instead of going to court. Mediation involves the intervention of a third person, or mediator, into a dispute to assist the parties in negotiating jointly acceptable resolution of issues in conflict. The mediator meets with the parties at a neutral location where the parties can discuss the dispute and explore a variety of solutions. We also have an APA registered and licensed Psychologist for individual and group therapy, forensic psychology, addiction counseling, Competancy, 3111 (Child custody Evaluations), and more.
