Before the wedding, I attended a trial where I brought inspiration photos for both my hair and makeup. Sherri took the time to try a couple of different bun techniques, while I gave Karyna creative freedom with my makeup. They both completely brought my vision to life. On the wedding day, I decided to make a few changes to both my hair and makeup, and they adapted seamlessly. The final look felt polished and beautiful while still feeling like me, which was exactly what I wanted. My hair and makeup lasted the entire day, and both I and my bridesmaids received countless compliments. Several of the girls even commented that it was the best hair and makeup they had ever had done. Sherri and Karyna arrived on time, stayed on schedule, and helped make the morning run smoothly. I was paired with them randomly, and while I'm sure Prep has many talented artists, these two were the perfect fit for me. I would happily book with them again in the future and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for wedding hair and makeup services. As for Prep as a salon, the entire experience was excellent. Their team was responsive and easy to communicate with throughout the planning process, and their wedding hair and makeup packages were the best value I found during my search. Everything went smoothly from start to finish, and the new salon is absolutely beautiful.

Her teacher came to check up every few minutes, to make sure it was done proper. The maturity, knowledge, and the skill of this student was admirable. The pricing was also shockingly cheap (1/5 what I'm used to paying in Toronto). Don't expect to be a in and out experience though! It IS an institution after all, so the student had paper work to fill out and consultation process, with the discussion with the teacher also added some time (I was there for 90 mins). I enjoyed every minute I was there, and would definitely recommend this salon.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience. I booked my appointment in March for the end of…read moreJune and planned my schedule around it. Then, only one hour before my appointment, I received a call saying that one of the hairstylists was sick and that I would have to reschedule. While I understand that emergencies happen, what is completely unacceptable is being told that the next available appointment is at the end of October--meaning I would have to wait another four months after already waiting several months for my original appointment. This level of scheduling and customer service is very disappointing. Clients invest their time, plan ahead, and trust that their appointments will be respected. Cancelling at the last minute and offering a replacement date four months later shows a lack of consideration for customers. Based on my experience, I would strongly caution others before booking here, especially if they have important plans or deadlines

I go to Aimy for my hair cuts, and always receive compliments, even from complete strangers. Her advice is to bring pictures of what you 'do' want as well as pictures of what you 'do not' want. She feels, and I agree, that what you don't want is probably more important. Don't expect your stylist to read your mind, and you will never be unhappy with the results. That being said, asking for a consultation prior to your actual cut, gives the stylist a chance to understand your hair and your expectation, so she can discuss it.

If you want to have a flattering haircut, DO NOT GO to Edward Carriere Salon…read more I went to this salon yesterday (April 19, 2021). I saw a Stylist named Caroline, although calling her a stylist is a misnomer. I'm sure she found her licence at the bottom of a Cracker Jack box. I told the woman I wanted something short (about 1 inch all over), sassy and it makes me look 30 years younger. She gave me a brush cut. Does Caroline not know the length of 1 inch? If not, why not? The only good thing is that I know my hair grows fast and because of the pandemic I don't have anywhere to go. What really ticked me off is that their machine would not allow me to pay just the amount of the hair cut. I HAD to give a tip. That makes me angry. I would normally give a tip - I just don't like being told I HAVE to give a tip. In this case, Caroline did not deserve a tip. Tips are for people who give good service. She did not. So, for those reasons I will not go back to this salon.
