I had went in because my sunroof was jammed. I called then went in the next day and the man who helped me informed me that a man that works at VW onion creek was there to help too. I was under the impression they would fix it (as one would think.) I went in and he was very charismatic and chatty which makes you feel like you can trust them. I walk out, paid, and the cover to the sunroof was making weird sounds and wouldn't open all the way. I turned the knob to open the roof and it didn't open either. I walk back in and ask why it's not opening and he says, "yeah I told you not to open it." I was like ???? I asked and paid for y'all to fix it? He comes at me with "no you asked us to close it so that's what we did and I have it right here on the computer that's what you asked. Repairing it all would be $1500" trying to make it seem like I'm dumb and that he's not in the wrong. Not transparent about anything. Mind you this entire conversation is AFTER I pay. So there was nothing I could do but let the public know not to go here if you're a college student or a young woman - it's just messed up. I will never be taking my car, business, or money here ever again. The smiles and fake small talk is so see through. Unless you want to get scammed, I suggest not to go here. $230 for them to ONLY CLOSE my sunroof. $220 for labor. $8 for a part. THEN I get in my car to see they literally just ripped off the piece I was told they would repair. Left in my car for proof! YEAH NEVER GO HERE. Attached below are pictures of the lining left in my car:

I had them do some exhaust work on my car and it took 8 hours when they told me 3 hours. And it was over priced from what I've seen. To make it worse after about 1000 miles my exhaust fell off. Would not recommend this place.

Proof that I finally caught them doing shoddy work.

I had a leaking exhaust manifold and therefore would not be able to make it to my usual shop in Austin.

Absolute waste of time. Do NOT bring 2018+ Ram/Jeep/Chrysler/Dodge here!**…read moreI am incredibly frustrated with my experience at this location. I took my 2025 Ram 2500 here for an alignment. Before even driving down, I specifically called ahead to ask if they could perform the alignment *and* recalibrate the steering angle sensor. The employee on the phone assured me they could do both and quoted me prices for both a single and a lifetime alignment. Based on that confirmation, I booked an appointment for the same day. After sitting in the waiting room for over an hour, I overheard the technician telling the front desk clerk that while the alignment was done, he couldn't recalibrate the steering angle sensor because "it wasn't an option on any of their tools." I immediately confronted the person behind the counter. This is completely unacceptable. Anyone who knows trucks knows that without recalibrating that sensor, you will still experience issues with the steering wheel not being straight, pulling, and improper tracking. The employee then went into the shop to help the technician. A few minutes later, he came back and claimed they just needed to "renew the subscription" on their Autel scan tool. So, I sat there for *another* 45 minutes. Finally, I watched my truck get pulled around to the front. They walked in and admitted that even after updating their subscription, they **still** couldn't recalibrate the sensor. **The Bottom Line:** While they didn't charge me for the alignment since they couldn't finish the job, they wasted two hours of my day and left my truck unresolved. If you own a 2018 or newer Chrysler, Ram, Jeep, or Dodge, consider this a warning: **Do not bring your vehicle to this Firestone.** They do not have the necessary equipment or tools to properly service your steering sensors. UNACCEPTABLE!

Scam Artist in Disguise - Avoid at All Costs…read more Around 6:30 PM, after a 12-hour shift, I pulled over on the freeway because my driver-side exhaust pipe had slipped off and was dragging. While waiting for family to arrive, a man in a white Chevy truck with yellow emergency lights stopped. He was around 5'8", gray beard, with a young girl (his daughter, I assume) in the passenger seat. Before even looking under the car, I told him exactly what was wrong -- the pipe had come loose just past the catalytic converters and was scraping. I made it very clear I didn't need anything major, just for it to stop scraping so I could get home. I also told him I could give him gas money or $50 as a thank-you. He agreed. Without saying much else, he immediately had his daughter bring over a jack and an angle grinder. He then sawed off the exhaust pipe completely -- a process that took maybe 15 minutes. Afterward, he told me to start the car (now sounding much louder, obviously), said it "sounded better that way," and started writing something. What he handed me was a printed "receipt" charging me $350 for "grinder work" and a "torn O2 sensor repair" -- both of which are absolute lies. My O2 sensor wasn't damaged, and I had no check engine light or error codes. When I refused to pay, he got aggressive, trying to crowd me against my trunk while saying his daughter was a witness that I "agreed to pay." Let me be clear: I didn't ask him to cut anything. I didn't approve the cost beforehand. I didn't agree to pay a set amount. I didn't even call him -- he pulled over on his own. He started fake-calling someone and threatening to "get me towed." When I stood my ground, he said absurd things like "death by deceivement" (not a real thing) and started trying to manipulate me into paying. Then my family arrived, and he yelled at my mother while trying to guilt her into paying. My mom, wanting to de-escalate and get home to my recovering grandma, offered him $140 -- which he snatched and left with. The receipt he gave me? No name, no client info, no license, no car model -- completely bogus. This man is a predator who takes advantage of people stranded and vulnerable. He intimidated me and my family, lied about the damage, and tried to bully money out of us for something I never agreed to. He's running a scam operation with no integrity, and dragging his daughter along for it -- which is honestly heartbreaking. To the man who scammed me: You said it would cost $60 to weld the exhaust back on. So why would it cost $350 to hack it off? You're not just dishonest -- you're deliberately abusive. I hope someday you feel the kind of violation and disrespect you inflict on hardworking people. Avoid this roadside "mechanic" at all costs. Call a tow truck or wait for someone you trust. This man is a scammer and a thief. BELOW ARE THE PHOTOS OF THE RECEIPT HE USED FOR EXTORTION AND THE AFTERMATH THAT SUPPOSEDLY COST $350 https://www.imghippo.com/i/Dosj5576vE.png https://www.imghippo.com/i/BEU1944GWk.png
