In this case, they have you wait for four hours while they overbook their appointments in case someone cancels or is a 'no-show' in their own home. As if my time isn't valuable? In my case, I'm the last of 11 people scheduled in a four hour window (that means more than 2 homes per hour, including travel time). They darn-well expect people to flake, but in my case, I'll be lucky if the guy shows up by 8 p.m., since most people were home. The funny thing is that when you call and complain to the manager, they give you the "I'm sorry" spiel which is entirely patronizing in light of the fact that it's evident that they don't care (insincerity of the worst kind). I also asked for their quality/customer service department so I could leave my complaint (by god, I'm on a roll). Apparently, according to policy, they're not allowed to give that out. Fancy that, a customer service department that doesn't want customers to contact them. They suck. And I'm still waiting... Disclaimer: Please note that one star is generous.
