I was so happy to see that they also have very options for kids of all different spaces, sizes and needs including a specialized swing for those in wheelchairs. My twin toddlers absolutely loved the play place. They explored both sides even though one side is for a little bit younger and one side is for a little bit olderis older. They really like the slides and the more advanced side. But, they've never seen the old school spring riders before and the kiddie side had two! They got a kick out of that and it made me feel nostalgic. We will definitely return to this playground again and again and again. The kids loved it and other than ONE entryway, the entire playground is enclosed which also helps to give piece of mind while you're watching your littles.

The history of Mr. Buchner is interesting, and the people who shared information with us were truly proud of all that the town has done for the community. Very nice multi-use Milwaukee County Park! I came here for a run, and it fit the bill on a nice…read morepaved path and also on the mowed grass trail. The area is perfect for a run, walk, hike with pup, or for an extended bike ride on the trail, heading north of Puetz Road. If you enter via 51st, there's a large parking lot closer to the nice newer kid's playground (not to be confused with the handicap accessible Kayla's Playground, nearby at Franklin Woods). There's also a small covered picnic area, bathrooms, and a frisbee golf course. The frisbee golf course just got paved "tee off areas", and I saw volunteers tending to them, and a few "golfers" out on a recent warm day. You can also access from the Milwaukee County Sports Complex. Froemming Park is top notch, and a nice example of adapting park use for local residents.

I hadn't planned on going to this playground, heck, I had never heard of it before... But, our plans to head to the zoo got foiled by the massive lines from the free Senior day. So, I opened Yelp, searched for playground, and this beauty popped up. Yelp, you saved the day, yet again! The little kids side (2-5) is unique, but in a positive way. I feel like most little kids areas are the same basic=boring setup. It sorta reminded me of the old woman who lived in a shoe, with a sloped roofline and misshapen/unbalanced look. This area had ringing music notes, a track to run little cars/balls down, a crawling tube, a spinning giant glass marble, on top of the slides, climbing ladders, etc. Plus, there was a dedicated little kids swing set, with two toddler swings, two regular swings, and then the much loved yet hard to find toddler/parent combo swing!!! The big kids side includes a four seat seesaw, an accessible swaying "boat", multiple climbing walls, a standing gravity spinner, five slides, "concessions stand", a dedicated big kids swing set with accessible swing, and more. All of this included old shade trees, overlooked the diamond, and was a short walk from the bathrooms. Kudos to West Allis for installing a truly great and unique playground.

This park is just one of the many gems that the award winning Waukesha Park and Rec Department has to offer. Nestled along the Fox River and the city's wonderful river walk, this 35 acre park features a formal garden, an amphitheater, lighted and fenced baseball diamond, indoor rec center, event hall, large playground, a bubbling spring, restrooms, bike & boat rentals from High Roller Fun Rentals and tons of parking. On top of all of that, Fiesta Waukesha, Badgerland Water Ski Show, Old Car Club Car Show, Oktoberfest and other events are held here. The eastern playground on a spring day is absolute heaven, as the playground is surrounded by lilacs. I've never experienced such a wonderful scent at a playground before, and you can tell it lifted the spirits of everyone around. The playground has a rubber playing surface, except for one area where there is a sandpit. The equipment shows some age, but is in great shape. The little kids side is pretty basic, but the big kids side is cool as the setup is a bit different. It's very long, and kids can go from one end to the other without stepping on the ground. A huge variety of slides, gliders, steps, rock walls, and more. Plus, there is a bathroom and drinking fountain right next to the playground!!! There is a second playground on the western edge, near the Schuetze Rec Center. This playground also has a rubber playing surface, and is new as of 2015. It is an all accessible playground, and has a transportation theme. This playground is also unique as it is tailored towards little kids rather than big kids, which rarely ever happens. The formal gardens date back to 1928, and features 18 annual flower beds, 6 colorful perennial areas and eleven fragrant rose beds. With 100s of tulips and daffodils, 1,000s of flowering annual plants, and over 150 roses in bloom and countless perennial this place is always beautiful are serene. Note, professional photoshoots require a permit! There are so many more things to talk about here, but really, just go and see for yourself. It's a beautiful park.

I'm not sure how much traffic this place has when times are more normal. There's a playground, a basketball court and...a pickleball court. I think this may be the best outdoor pickleball court I've ever seen...so I need to change my initial rating upwards. In terms of outdoor pickleball courts, this is as good as it gets.
