We as 100+ families of the student athletes of the Saint Anselm Football team in Manchester, NH. We…read morewould like to express our complete opposition to Saint Anselm College President DiSalvo and the St A's Board of Trustees on their attempt to reclassify St A's athletic programs from D II to Division III in an extremely nontransparent way. President DiSalvo informed the student athletes on August 25, the day that the football players returned to campus for camp. As you can imagine the VAST majority of the parents, student athletes, coaches and alumni we have spoken with are in fierce opposition to this move. In fact, we have a petition circulating on line with over 1800 signatures on it, https://www.change.org/p/prevent-saint-anselm-college-from-relegating-itself-to-division-iii-athletics?recruiter=367832396&utm_source=share_petition&utm_medium=copylink We feel the President and his Administration have broken their trust with the parents and student athletes who have come to Saint Anselm to participate on an athletic team in D II. The freshman and sophomore student athletes (as well as ALL student athletes) were recruited with the understanding that they would be competing at the Division II level, NOT D III. All the while over the past year or so the President and the Board of Trustees were contemplating this move to Division III behind closed doors. This move was deceitful and definitely not in the spirit or principles of what St Anselm was founded on. The President and the BOT should have been honest and upfront with these student athletes and their parents. We feel this move to Division III will greatly damage the school academically, athletically and socially forever. "This decision is not indicative of a school that identifies itself as a "College with a Conscience." Nor as a school that prides itself on integrity. We are asking President DiSalvo and the BOT to stop this reclassification move immediately until it goes through a legitimate and transparent process. Shouldn't the student athletes, parents as well as anyone else who is affected by this move be consulted? The majority of these student athletes and parents feel so betrayed by the President and the BOT. St. Anselm teaches its students to dare to make a difference and stand out from the rest of the pack. Take a stand on issues that are deemed unfair or unjust. At the very least to be given a soap box to stand on and be heard. Those rights are being squelched and manipulated in a way that is not a true representation of the overall voice of St. Anselm College. If moving to D III is such a great move for the college then why wasn't the President and the BOT transparent over the past year or so with this process? Because it isn't great for the college it's a giant step backwards. It's very important to understand the lies of omission that occurred with all of the incoming student athletes. Many of their lives would be much different right now if the news of this move was made public. Seems to us that the people that will be affected the most should have had the option to change their mind rather than be blind sided with this drastically "changing the face of the school" forever news. Is this integrity? No. It's the process that extremely troubles us. When you visit the St. Anselm web site and click on the About Us link at the bottom of the page, the last paragraph states: "Named one of the country's Colleges with a Conscience by The Princeton Review, Saint Anselm shapes the kind of leader the world is hungry for; not only smart, but good. We invite you to be one of them." It seems to us that the current process to move to D III is the antithesis of that statement. As our student athletes move on from college and into the business world is this the type of example that will be the legacy of St. Anselm for each of them? Is this process shaping the type of leader that is indicative of the St. Anselm way? Are these young men and women being conditioned to remain quiet and settle for the status quo and to not speak up, be heard and lead? St. Anselm College is a faith filled Catholic Institution founded in 1889 by the world's oldest religious order, the Benedictines. We are talking about an institution that has its roots and foundation squarely centered on doing the right thing, called integrity. It is time that everything is placed on hold and this process is started over in a very transparent process. Begin in a way that accurately represents the values and integrity that St. Anselm has always stood for and strived for. If, in the end, a move to D III is prudent, then we will all know that it was done in a manner that represented the whole institution, past, present and future and done in a way that represented the type of leader that St. Anselm wishes to deliver to the world. This school sucked. Robbed me and did not help with my education. I unfortunately was kicked out my…read morethird year of nursing school due to having marijuana in my system. Previous months before I had obtained a breast reduction surgery and was in immense pain. I also herniated one of my discs. Using marijuana was the only way I could find comfort during this time. I also had a Massachusetts medical marijuana card at that point. None of that mattered. They kicked me out after making me attend three classes prior to telling me. I had written and essay and declined precious time with my friends as I had schoolwork that proved not important anymore. With all of that I was sent home. They gave me less than a week before moving all of my stuff out. Coincidentally two of my grandparents suffered strokes that week and I had to help my family with that. There was no care and they threatened to throw away all my belongings. After emailing my frustration to the president of the campus there was no regard for my mental well being. Saint Anselm college was one of the worst two year experience of my life as well as a gigantic waste of money. They also refused me a 15,000 dollar refund after only being there for two weeks. I dislike every educator and staff member there. They would rather have coked and pilled out students with borderline alcoholic disease running around them a girl who was just trying to deal with her pain. If I could give zero stars I would. Besides separating boys and girls from each other, being able to count all the people of color on one hand, racist and homophobic monks this is not the place you want to waste your money on. I had reached out for mental health help as well as academic and was denied that as well. I only have one friend from this experience. The rest of it was a complete waste of time. President favaza if you are reading this please give me back my refund as that was just rude. DO NOT GO HERE THEY ALSO FORCE RELIGIOUS BELIEFS DOWN EVERYONES THROATS

Sargent camp was one of the worst experiences of my life, the counselors treated my group like we…read morewere in second grade, the food was sub-par, and Larry, the camp instructor, told eye roller stories the whole trip. He thought we would believe that he really had a dream about fairies, stars, and rainbows, and at the end he told us that his dream did come true, and he "touched a star". And we were swarmed by mosquitoes, the two friendly people were a guy called Dan, and the nurse. The counselor's were completely ridiculous, making up a song for everything, that we all had to sing, "entertaining" us with idiotic games, lying to us, being sarcastic if we complained about the mosquitoes, and made us feel guilty about any leftover food nicknamed "ort". They would dump food in the trash, and weigh it just to make us feel bad that we hadn't liked it. So, I recommend Sargent Camp for nobody, and I pity those who have gone, or are on their way.

They had plenty of options and very affordable

As fans of the visiting team, we LOVED views from the above-the-field seating and thought the stadium was fantastic with an excellent sound-system to clearly hear all the plays! As a side-note, FSU could use some additional consideration to alternatively-abled individuals who have to navigate though some challenges on the way from parking to field, but as a whole, we were impressed as access was better than most. My son attended the high school summer program at Landmark this year. We were so impressed by the…read morecollege's program and information shared on the registration day. The campus is small yet set in expansive beautiful lush green Vermont meadows, cafeteria food was awesome, dorm buildings were typical but clean. They had a nice cocktail reception for the parents at the end of the information session and we got to say goodbye to the kids one more time. My son hardly called or texted tho it was one of his tasks during the 3 week program and by the end of first week he declared that he didn't miss home! There were several residential assistants some of whom were alumni of the college and they were very responsive and picked up calls at first ring and helped my son with misplaced phone, messages, etc. My son flew back to LA by himself and Landmark shuttle made sure he got to his flight desk. Landmark has a transition program in San Mateo, CA, I hope they have another campus on the west coast in near future. With so many neurodiversity on the rise among children these types of institutions are absolutely a necessity!

I know it sound cheesy and overly dramatic but my Landmark College experience changed and saved my…read morelife. I started at Landmark College in 1988 after struggling at 2 other colleges. Diagnosis was Executive Function Disorder with ADHD and Landmark College was a complete unknown to me. I was on a rapid downward spiral, with ever expanding issues of impulse control, time management, low self esteem among other challenges. This school change my life. It taught me very specialized skills in academics that could also be applied to daily life. Do not get me wrong it was major struggle that required some major self reflection and radical changes in thought and behavior. In the end I was able to graduate and go on to finish my Bachelor's of Science in Information Systems Management and 13 IT certifications from a variety of vendors. I currently am the CIO for a state hospital. None of this would have been possible without Landmarks exceptional staff and specialized/personalized teaching techniques.

After taking a 7-year break from school, SNHU's online program made the most sense for me when I decided to go back. From having an amazing admissions advisor who helped me through the application and course registration process to an academic advisor who regularly checked in and made sure I felt confident throughout my program, I always felt supported. The coursework was very manageable while working full-time, and they offer so many helpful resources, including 24/7 tutoring. I'm incredibly grateful for the opportunity to finish my degree, and I already look forward to coming back next year to start my master's program!

This is an update to a previous review…read more SNHU appears to be an institution that believes it can do whatever it wants and get away with it because people's attention spans are short and they tend to give up easily. In July I inquired with my advisor about dropping a course due to a hostile instructor that I (and at least three other people in the course) had already submitted a complaint about to the school. Because the school didn't seem to care and offered no recourse for a rogue instructor to me or the handful of other students who submitted similar complaints, continuing in the course was untenable. I asked my advisor (on a recorded line) in plain English if there were any financial aid repercussions or if I had to take any further steps to withdraw from the course. He assured me, again, on a recorded line, there were not. We then went forward with withdrawing. To my surprise a month later my Pell Grant was stripped away due to the withdrawal. I contacted advising who investigated the issue and who took accountability for the misinformation provided to me by SNHU itself. They led me to file a dispute to have that money returned to me as my family relies on my financial aid while I am in school. While I filed this dispute, due to the previous issue with the school taking no action on an instructor who who grades in an arbitrary and hostile manner and then retaliates once reported and the dissatisfaction with the misinformation and lack of integrity I saw in SNHU as a whole at that point, I made the difficult choice to withdraw. Several weeks later, the dispute team got back to me. I had won the dispute, however their remedy was to provide me with a tuition credit for a future course. To a school that was very well aware I had withdrawn from due to these issues. This is not a remedy at all. When I responded to say as much and demand the school actually correct their error, Ben in Disputes changed his entire story to inform me that the advisor HAD told me about the penalty and HAD told me to contact SFS and so they would not be remedying their error. The tuition credit was simply a good faith offer. My calls with advising (wherein they admitted fault and took accountability) were done on a recorded line. Ben deciding to lie and gaslight me in order for the school to not have to remedy their mistakes does not erase those recorded calls (which I also have because I knew SNHU would move with absolutely zero integrity). Never waste your time with this school. As I informed Ben, if my issue is not remedied in two business days I'm filing complaints with every single government body overseeing higher education along with the attorney general for consumer protection and going to the media. Misinforming students on financial aid is a violation of federal law that oversees aid. SNHU does what SNHU does because they know people will give in and give up once their strictly performative dispute process denies them. I am not the only student they have done this to. The dispute process at this school is purely performative to satisfy government regulations. There is absolutely no support or recourse for students who attend this school which is comfortable violating federal financial aid guidelines and laws. All of this over less than a thousand dollars. What a good look on a University. As an add on, the instructor previously mentioned in my review was the original woman who adopted Natalia Grace and brought her to "little people shows." If nothing else shows how much integrity matters at SNHU, this should.
