It's hard to rate universities but one can rate the campus right? I came in the middle of winter, so it's not your typical lush green post card images. However it was still beautiful in a tranquil New England way. The architecture is colonial, which I find incredibly charming. Immediately south of campus is a tiny college town with very good food. However it is quite limited in terms of diversity and hours. The main green is what you see, but if you walk toward the back of the campus, you can find the business school and the frats. Look for the street with lamp posts only on one side of the street. It's enough to drive the OCD people crazy.

At the graduation ceremony of my friends darling girl, for the class of 2017. Jack Tapper received an honorary degree and gives a clever, motivational funny commencement address. Beautiful setting, cooperating weather. Wise words. Follow our better angels to be our best selves. Be brave be bold be smart BE TRUE. NMD. All in all a great ceremony.

What's not to love about dear old Dartmouth? I have the fortune of being an undergrad here and compared to what I hear about from my friends' experiences at other schools, I think we have it good. It feels weird to write a Yelp review about a school because I'm not quite sure what to write about. Do I write about the good food in the cafeteria? The small class sizes? The fact that we've been first for undergraduate teaching for so many years? The infinite snowy days? The beautiful nature surrounding us? The passionate people? There's a million positive things I could say about this place and what a fine establishment it is to study at.

What does earn them five stars: Faculty who are more interested in teaching than in being famous -- something that's rare for an Ivy.

Well so this entire ordeal started with the fact that I used my work email address instead of one…read moreof my personal once. So that was my bad. I started a second application with my personal email address using the same phone number and all my other information. I never received an email at my personal email address. I also didn't realize that all of the emails they were sending me we're going to my spam box. So after waiting for a while wondering why I wasn't hearing back I did finally stumbled upon the emails. At which time I asked some idiot named Ashley to switch over which application email address she was using. And repeatedly got confused statements out of this person. I asked her to call me at 11:30 AM. I live in San Francisco. She never managed to call me that day but did send me an email with the wrong time and told me that it wouldn't work after she had confirm the time on the last email. She said it was a 15 minute call and canceled 3 hours before to the wrong email. This was Early August that I had started looking into going back to school. I was actually excited about the idea of going to this school until I realized that they can't figure out how to contact me on the correct email address. Ashley kept telling me that I need to speak to them by phone to move any further. well I also need to have my email address working before I'm going to trust speaking to someone on the phone especially from an online university that wants to make sure that this is a good fit. Now having done online schooling in the past I understand The most important thing is the communication. If I can't trust admission's communication how my going to trust that any other communication is going to go well? The problem is the fact that since they are trying to churn up so many online students that their admissions office is just a glorified low level customer service department with a bunch of people who probably have not attended a single college course themselves and don't know how to change an email address in the system because they can't be trusted with more than a 15 minute call. Trying to get as many people signed up as possible and not able to actually fix the fact that they are emailing me on the wrong application to an email address that will continue to throw them to spam or if I choose to change workplaces no longer be useful. After Ashley attempted to call me once or twice I have had people attempting to call me 3 to 4 times a week at eight in the morning again I live on the West Coast that is not a reasonable time to be calling me and I made that clear in my application that I live on the West Coast. They also stopped leaving voicemails so it was a automated system that ended typically with a agent saying "hello? Hello?" And hanging up on my call that I took the time to anwser. I finally hope that this time they are actually taking me off the calling list this has been the worst experience I had trying to take online classes ever. I already have multiple degrees that I have earned online I just want to earn another one. I am the perfect person they want on their platform because I'm going to pay upfront in cash and I'm going to graduate because I love school but The entire admissions process was the worst I have ever experienced in my life. There are other cheaper schools. There are other more highly rated schools as well. There's not much of a need to go to the school. Maybe they are better if you're showing up on site I don't know they didn't seem that interesting when I was driving through New Hampshire and stopped in. Don't give them your information it's not worth your time they won't stop and they're not up to the standard of which they should be because they spend more time on numbers than quality.
