If you are in search of a new dental practice, I would strongly advise against considering this one.
I was in need of a dental clinic in close proximity to my workplace and this particular establishment was both highly rated and conveniently located. I proceeded to schedule an appointment, however, upon my arrival, I was met with a sign instructing me to call a specific number for check-in. Due to the nature of my profession, my phone does not display caller ID, and as a result, my call was not answered. I then resorted to ringing the doorbell.
Upon gaining entry, I informed the receptionist of my scheduled appointment, only to be told that there was no record of it in their system. I proposed scheduling my next appointment in person, but was told that I would need to call their number to do so. This struck me as unusual and unprofessional.
When I called the number, I was subsequently informed that I would have to wait three months for an appointment. Given that my dental health was not in immediate jeopardy and I merely required a routine check-up and cleaning, I scheduled an appointment for November 20th at 10am.
On the day of the appointment, I arrived promptly at 10am and rang the doorbell, as I was still unable to call the check-in number. After waiting for 10 minutes and ringing the doorbell twice more, I noticed the staff at the front desk simply staring at me. This seemed rather strange. A man then approached me from behind and inquired about my presence. I informed him that I had an appointment and that it was my first visit. He asked if I had received a text message about my appointment. I did not receive any text. I felt that they saw me as a threat for some reason. I was wearing a black shirt and jeans and I just took a shower so I'm uncertain why I felt profiled.
He then allowed me to enter and speak with the receptionist, who informed me that there was an issue with my account and that my appointment was not scheduled. I expressed my frustration and stated that if the issue could not be resolved, I would be compelled to take my business elsewhere and leave a review detailing the poor service I had received to warn new customers. She advised me she would see if they could fit me in today.
While waiting for a response, I was asked to return to the front desk, where I was met by the man who had initially approached me outside. He expressed his displeasure at my threat to his staff and warned me of potential legal action for "slander". It became apparent that he was not familiar with the definition of slander, as my account of the events was entirely factual.
Yes, you heard this right. A staff member threatened legal action on me for providing a factual review with my experience of them providing poor services which he had proof of due to security footage with audio recording software...
Our conversation continued in this vein, with him continuing to threaten legal action if I were to write this review, and me asserting my right to share my TRUE experience. Eventually, I informed them that if they were unable to accommodate me, I would have no choice but to seek dental care elsewhere and proceed with writing this review.
I am not concerned about the threat of legal action at all, because I know I am in the right here. The purpose of this review is to caution potential customers about the subpar service provided by this establishment. They have wasted my time on two separate occasions. While I could elaborate further on the numerous shortcomings of this practice, including poor customer service, poor interior, and questionable procedures (the front door screening), I will leave it to your discretion to decide whether or not to patronize this establishment. read more
