Franklin is a place you've probably passed by a million times and didn't notice but when searching for a fair and reasonable auto repair shop, it pops right up. We've had two cars serviced at Franklin at competitive labor pricing and with a pretty short wait. For both repair jobs they focused on the issue and didn't try upselling like other places would do. Quality service from experienced and knowledgeable staff. Easy to find right along W. Hillsborough. read more

I kinda don't want to write this review because I don't want too many people to know my fav car spot lol. Jeff is absolutely amazing! He's a genuine fair person that's not looking to rip anyone off. Not trying to sound snobby here but we have trusted him with Mercedes S63 Mercedes E63 Range Rover autobiography Range Rover SVR our Maserati and will take the new G wagon there when needed. We trust this place with all of our cars and we LOVE cars. Thank you Jeff and team read more

Jeff is very reliable and i needed new tires and he found the best suitable tires that weren't too expensive for my liking. I will definitely be using them for as long as i live in this area read more

I got some new tires installed at a place that doesn't offer a wheel alignment post tire installation. I came here after getting my tires installed and arrived around 4:15 PM. The shop closes at 5:30 PM and I thought that I may be cutting it a little close to have a wheel alignment done before they closed. I told Katelyn at the front desk what I needed, and she checked with the mechanics to see if they could fit me in. They said it would be no problem and had the alignment done within about 45 minutes. I also asked them to check my brakes to see if they needed to be replaced (the local Mazda dealership said they were all in the yellow), but Jeff (mechanic) said that I had at least another 10,000 miles on them. He could have told me that yeah, they were in the yellow, and given me a quote, but he was really honest and upfront with me about the situation. After having such a positive experience, I'll be taking my car to Franklin Car Care in the future for anything I need. Their prices are really reasonable, they're fast, friendly, and their dog is adorable. read more

I needed 4 new Michelin tires for my Lexus. They did a great job and were more than 30% less than my dealer wanted. Nice people that care and a local small business. Strongly recommend. read more

Shop owner, Jeff, is good people! Cares about getting the customers vehicle fixed or tires changed as soon as possible. Honest and good prices! Highly recommend: read more

Family owned and operated! You won't be disappointed with this awesome crew. The friendliest and most honest mechanics I've "ever" dealt with besides my nephew in Indiana. They make you feel like family here. Don't let the surroundings fool you. It's a well-worn, well-loved garage where you can tell many years of hard work has taken place here. Good and knowledgeable folk! Dean Paris read more

Walked in for an ABS diagnostic, met John and his daughter Kaitlyn. I like to support mom and pop businesses so this was the right place for me. They were very helpful took me in right away. John showed me underneath my car and explained to me what he thought the problem could be. I appreciate that he was honest and made recommendations that saved me money. When shopping for mechanics I don't necessarily look for cheap work, I look for good work and honesty. If you have those you have a a customer for life. First impressions were great! read more

Highly recommend to anybody. Would give a hundred stars if I could. Will not "sell" you on stuff your car doesn't need. As a bonus Everybody that works there is very nice. Thank you for the great service!! read more

I needed to get brakes and called last minute because I was free unexpectedly. They told me what time to come and took me in as soon as I got there. They couldn't have been nicer, explained the costs right away with a more economical option and explained why the most economical option might not be the best. They never tried to upsell or claim I needed anything that I didn't and got me out promptly. read more

I found this little garage by chance when I first moved to Tampa and couldn't feel more fortunate to have come across such an honest, genuine family-owned business that takes such great care of my car! They even have a cute little dog in the waiting room to keep me entertained while you wait. Caitlin works the front desk and phones and knows a ton about cars. Her dad is the owner and head mechanic. They are honest and upfront about what is truly needed for a vehicle, and what can be put off. I drive a 2006 vehicle with 130k miles, so they're keeping it running and safe for me as long as possible and I certainly appreciate that. read more

I had the best experience today. I'm not from Tampa and got a flat tire, it was a complete coincidence to find this place. People here are very knowledgeable, they made a quote for jist one tire and I decided to change all the tires since the price was songood that I could not let go this opportunity. The staff is really easygoing and professional. They explain to me everything that that did and showed me a couple of things about that thay did and found before I leave. I highly recommend this place. Thank you for the great service I received today. read more

We are new to the area and found Franklin Car Care through the google reviews. We used them to replace a side view mirror, change the oil, and replace a tail light. They were incredibly friendly, helpful, and professional. They kept the price low and seemed very trustworthy. Very excited to have found them! read more

Super friendly, great customer service. Helped out when I had a dead battery and even recommended a towing service for me. So glad I found this little hidden gem. They were super knowledgeable and didn't make me feel stupid for asking questions. Reasonably priced and had my car back to me same day! Will continue to use in the future. read more

Extremely fair and knowledgeable. Jeff knows his stuff. I've always gone to the dealer because a local repair shop that is good is hard to find. Not any more! read more

Greatly recommend this mechanic! Went in for an alignment and a oil change but when they went to check my tires it turns out my 2 front tires were the problem not my alignment. He was honest and didn't talk to me like an idiot, which I appreciated since I know absolutely nothing about cars. He even found me 2 BRAND NEW tires for an amazing price within my budget I was in such amazement I almost wanted to cry especially with holidays right around the corner he really saved me with his great deals and kind hospitality. Will be coming back for my alignment (when its time) and my next oil change. read more

I've taken my car to this location a couple times now. I always feel I'm getting honest feedback on what is important and what can wait based on my budget. I have an older Honda accord and I know parts can be expensive. They are always straightforward with what is urgent and what can wait. Definitely would recommend to anyone looking for a place to take their car. Honest mechanic's are pretty hard to come by these days, but this place will take care of you like family! Thanks for the great job like always! read more

Honestly, one of the most friendly and work oriented garages I have been to. I am from New Jersey and I drove all the way down here in my Jeep which had managed to blow an axle seal. I brought the Jeep in 8:15 in the morning shortly after opening and by around 4 my Jeep was done after almost 3 hours of labor and picking up the essential parts. They got the job done as quick as possible and I could not be anymore happy with my overall experience. If I was from the area I no doubt would go to this shop, due to the fact that not many shops are loyal around here and half a** the job and you are back in the shop the following week with something new that is wrong. Jeff was a great help and kept me up to date on my Jeep and even gave me a call to see if I wanted the second axle seal done due to the fact that it would cost more in labor in the future just to have one done. I'm thankful to have been recommended to this shop. Do not hestitate to bring your vehicle here for any needs. read more

I had a good experience that brightened my day. My car tire light went on the other morning. I pulled over and found that my rear passenger side tire was flat. I googled to find the closest tire shop. Luckily Franklin Car Care was located only .4 miles away so I carefully drove over. I met Jeffery and he had a helpful positude attitude. He offered to immediately remove my flat tire and put on my donut. He diagnosed that there was a key lodged in my flat tire and determined that it was not repairable and he did not have a tire to sell me. He explained the recommendations for safely driving on my temporary tire until I was able to bring my car to an appropriate tire dealer. He was friendly, polite and knowledgeable. When I asked what I owed him for changing my tire, he said there was no charge at all and he wished me luck. What a pleasant surprise!! It is rare thing to encounter a giving attitude like Jeffery's these days. read more
