Audubon Dental & staff are very good at what they do (cleanings, fillings, root canals) all of…read morewhich I've experienced with them. Due to an accident I needed a root canal on my front tooth and I was highly concerned it would be noticeable. Dr. Rappold did amazing work, I didn't feel any pain throughout the procedure and you can't even tell I had any work done at all. They were also able squeeze me in for that appointment the same week. I've never had any problems with this office, like previous reviews mention, nor have I ever been charged any fees without my knowledge.

Posting here because the review I put on google was deleted…read more I arrived in Sept 29, 2026 and was having no issues until they did the x-ray. The bite device was way too big for my mouth. I told the technician I wasn't able to do it and requested a smaller bite device. I was advised they had nothing smaller and said something about discomfort. I replied that it had nothing to do with discomfort and everything to do with my gag reflex and not wanting to vomit all over her. I had already noted these issues in the paperwork. I had already told the technician about the anxiety over the gag reflex. I can deal with some discomfort. I can not deal with gagging. Brushing my teeth can make me throw up. The technician went to get the doctor, who was absolutely lovely. I asked the doctor about the pediatric bite device and was told they use this one for pediatrics as well. I replied, "Ah, I think I'm going to have to go somewhere else then." I wasn't being snarky or aggressive in any way. It was more of a, "I'm realizing this isn't the place for me," kind of way. The technician asked, "Didn't you come here a few years ago and get xrays? Yes. Yes I did. Just because I was able to force myself to do something 4 years ago doesn't mean I can do that now. I advised them both that I wouldn't be able to do it. The doctor left and I assumed she was telling the front desk what I needed to check out. Suddenly another woman who didn't bother to introduce herself, walked in and started putting my chair down without saying a word to me. Mind you, this is after I had already advised both the doctor and technician that I wouldn't be able to do it. I thought I was waiting for them to clear me to go check out. So I asked her what she's doing and she said trying to make me "more comfortable " so she could try something else. I told her, "I didn't ask you to do that." And she argued with me. I told her, "You didn't introduce yourself and you moved the chair without warning me." Then I said, "What do you mean try something else? I was already advised you had nothing else to offer me." She said, "This isn't the place for you." I already knew that! Like, what? So I got up to leave, went to the front desk and asked if I needed to do anything to check out. This woman waved me away like she was swatting at a flying insect and said, "You can go." I spoke up again and told her she was being rude. I explainedagain why what she did wasn't OK. She said, "Well, I'm sorry," in a very sarcastic manner and I called her rude again. She then very sarcastically told me to have a great day. I told her to have the day she deserves. And she replied that her day is going to be great with me gone. ********* I disclosed my issues up front and ended up being treated extremely poorly by who I can only assume to be the office manager. They have no instruments to accommodate smaller paletes. Thankfully, I was able to get an emergency appointment with Dr. Morgan from All Smiles today and was taken care of brilliantly by her entire team. The difference in treatment was beyond shocking.

So just to update you all on the saga that is my cavity fillings, we actually broke the cavity…read morefillings up into three visits since technically they were in three different parts of my mouth (I know, I know). Dr. Michele is just as skilled in speed with filling cavities as her father. I feel like I wait longer for an oil change than it takes for them to fill a cavity here. Dr. Michele takes care to make sure the filling is done well, and suggests that if for any reason it doesn't feel right to come back in to get it shaped better to my bite. The numbing process is pretty quick (though you can do the gas, I prefer not too). The only thing I will mention is that numbing of the bottom jaw does take longer to wear off than the top and you should probably clear your schedule for about 3/4 hours due to debilitated speaking abilities while today's top jaw filling, I went to a meeting less than an hour after with minor speech impediments...though water did dribble out of my mouth at one point. C'est la vie. Another note to be aware of is that insurance may not cover natural colored fillings, so just make sure to ask (which they made sure to inform me about before my procedures). 1 more cavity to go! Otherwise, everything has been as great as going to the dentist can be!

Their website looked trustworthy and professional--not too flashy. We were able to schedule an appointment immediately and subsequently received extremely friendly and expert care. I underwent several examinations and was able to have the molar treated that very same day by Dr. Hayley Line and her assistant, Shelley. The rest of the practice staff (I didn't catch all their names) were also all very caring and kind, doing their utmost to explain everything as clearly as possible and guide me through the process. I wholeheartedly recommend The Garden Dentist, Dr. Hayley Line, and everyone working there to anyone looking for a good, reliable dentist in New Orleans. Thank you, Garden Dentist. After seeing my son go thru that, the last thing on my mind is his balance. At the very least just hang up, when someone tells you their son is in the hospital. Or how about a "hope he feels better".

I have waited too long to leave this review. I went there 4 or 5 times for cleanings both their…read more"regular" and "deep" cleanings. I found the staff friendly and thorough but I have serious issues with their business and billing policies. They encouraged me to have deep cleanings every several months. I had had this procedure at my last dentist and it was really intense. They cleaned every tooth all the way around below the gumline. Here at this practice, I'm told it's random based on need. Here's the problem. They bill you by the quadrant whether it's one tooth or 4 teeth. So, they could clean 4 teeth and you could be charged $600. This is completely unacceptable and ridiculous. I'm still angry about it months later and will never go back. Their regular cleanings are fine. Although, Dr Soileau is quite rough and clumsy. The hygienist is better. I've had better and worse but their deep cleanings don't take any longer and aren't any more thorough and feel like a complete scam. I wrote Dr Soileau a letter and received a patronizing reply not really directly addressing the issue. The first two deep cleanings I had were 1/2 this money. The first time it was under $300 or so and the next a lot more. I asked about it and they adjusted it just like that. Seemed random but I let it go. They didn't explain it. When I first showed up there for a general exam they didn't tell me it was a cleaning based on how the hygienist felt that day. They gave me a set price. Get your story straight! I think they are fishing with your insurance company for the most money they can get. My insurance covers little so I ended up paying almost $600 the last time. I called to ask for an adjustment and was dismissed. Bye bye forever.

While I had a professional experience and was very happy during my first visit, my second visit…read morebecame a bit of a nightmare. During a routine extraction, Dr. Soileau accidentally damaged a nerve in my face causing Bell's palsy and permanent damage. For months I could not speak clearly and half of my face was paralyzed. I'm a tour guide, being able to communicate is essential to providing an income. I lost a lot of work. To be fair, Dr. Soileau referred me to an ENT and seemed concerned, although she accepted no responsibility. It seemed pretty obvious that the palsy and the nerve damage were linked to to Dr. Soileau; in fact this is what I was told by several doctors. I've paid thousands for an extraction and two cleanings. There was a $400+ balance remaining and I was told by several sources that I should communicate with Dr. Soileau's office about paying the balance when the error during the procedure ended up costing thousands of dollars in lost income. I just received a nasty "collection notice" in the mail. Not once was there acknowledgment of the incident, or the fact that my face still (7 months later) has nerve damage and partial paralysis. Sorry, not paying the Doctor that botched a simple extraction and cost me a lot of money. I'll be sending her a bill from an attorney. You've been warned.
