If something goes wrong, I can just cut it shorter and my hair will always grow back, right? I walked by the salon in Chatswood contemplating if it was really worth it or just to wait and drive to my usual barber. It was just $10 and I'm walking right past it. I only needed a trim and I only had about a half hour till I needed to pick up my partner. I don't want to wait and I don't think I'll make it if I drive to my other barber. Ok, let's give it a try. I walked into the salon, immediately was able to sit down in a chair and the lady asks me how I want it cut. I tell her I just needed a trim and she proceeded to cut my hair with ease and style. I was impressed. Since I was only spending $10 on the haircut I opted to have my hair washed and styled (only another $7). It was a good decision. I walked out feeling so fresh and so clean and was on time to pick up my beautiful partner.

We walked over to the shop and yep, there was a catch... it's now a WHOLE $12.00, still the cheapest hair cut my husband would ever have. We walked in and was greeted with about 4 salon workers, not really sure who worked there and who didn't as he was told to sit in 3 differant chairs. A young man asked him what he wanted done and about 10mins later he was done. Best hair cut my husband has ever had! We normally pay $40 every six weeks so this was GREAT find.

It displays choices for traditional and fade cuts, offers the available time slots, and charges $20AU for the appointment. I told my barber what I wanted and got to it. The conversation was casual and not forced. It was a good fade, he only used an electric razor and attachments. He trimmed the top of my head and bangs. I was in and out and ready for my evening event. I paid for the rest of the haircut and was off to my event. This particular location is in the lower level of the 464 Kent shopping center. The easiest approach is entering from the St. Andrews church in via Cross City Tunnel/Bathurst. Recommended.

Apparently there is a difference but he chose to get stuck on the semantics and not really explain what it was. Luckily his rather lovely female co-worker was in charge of my boy, who was so relaxed in her capable hands that he fell asleep in the chair. In fact he slept through the rest of the cut and she carried on - what a trooper. Even this couldn't raise a smile from the owner who probably would've quibbled over whether he was actually asleep or resting his eyes and brain. I carried the still sleeping boy out of there and was very happy with the result. It's the shame the owner is so snotty as I'm unlikely to go back.

You can tell these guys have been around a while - the stories go around the block. They have classic rock playing in the background and all and all its a friendly vibe. Today the owner was trying out two new guys, definitely a big drop in the social engagement that you normally get. Hopefully it's not a permanent change. Only real issue is the price. At $30 a haircut - it's pretty dear.
