During the call, she repeatedly asked for my name and basic information multiple times, even after I answered several times clearly. The conversation became very confusing, and instead of handling it professionally, she repeatedly said "oh my gosh," laughed during the call, and spoke to me in a rude tone. When she mentioned that my information was not on file, I explained that I was calling because I was a new patient. She responded by saying, "Well, you should've said that before." At that point, I expressed that I felt she was being rude and unprofessional and simply asked for the referral doctor's phone number instead. She then hung up on me. It's unfortunate that someone seeking medical help would be treated this way. Patients should be treated with patience, professionalism, and respect, especially during their first interaction with a medical office. Hanging up on a patient and making them feel mocked or dismissed is unacceptable.

But when I saw the provider I felt completely uncomfortable and like I was not being listened to what so ever. I was trying to explain that I was sent here in order to be able to schedule a laparoscopy and he asked me for a general history of why I believe I have endometriosis. I explained my situation of constant pain over the past 10 years of having my menstrual but also explaining the past four have had worse pain accompanied by stomach problems and other emotional and physical problems. He asked if I had depression or anxiety and I said yes to both. He asked if I had weight gain or weight loss and I stated yes to both as well. He stated he believes I don't have endometriosis and just have a mood disorder that I need to have treated. I have been in extreme pain, done the MRI and ultrasound and all of the other tests necessary just to be told I have a mood disorder? When something was found in the MRI that made my OBGYN believe I need to have a laparoscopy done??? I felt completely disrespected as a patient and I do not wish to have a laparoscopy done with a provider that just wants to do the exam to "check that off the list" just so he can tell me he saw nothing and that this pain and all these symptoms I have are just in my head. I have had providers who don't listen to me and ignored my symptoms in the past, but this truly takes the cake for me.

If I could give this Pediatrician 50 stars I would. My baby girl was born at Loma Linda and during…read moreour stay there we encountered the most delightful pediatrician we could hope for, Dr. Chow. I hoped she could be our baby's pediatrician but unfortunately she didn't have any openings at the time. Instead we took her to a highly reviewed pediatrician in Rancho Cucamonga. However, after 9 months of visit that office, our baby didn't see the pediatrician once. She always saw a nurse or nurse practitioner and I know there's nothin wrong with that. That place just felt busy, it wasn't warm or inviting, and they just seemed like a "get them and get them out" kind of place. Not Loma Linda. We found out that Dr. Chow had some openings and we jumped right on it. Out of the gate, the experience was so much better. While we were checking in at the front desk, Dr. Chow walked by and waved hello like she remembered us but she couldn't possible remember us from 9 months ago, right? Well...she did. As soon as she walked in the door the entire vibe was peaceful and friendly. She even brought a book for our baby to play with and started playing with our baby girl. At one point, the baby wanted to play with her and she even went around with Dr. Chow to greet the other nurses in the office. Dr. Chow truly knows how to work with kids. We never felt rushed. It felt like we had her all to ourselves. I highly recommend this Doctor and medical office. Side note: You may run into Donkeys in the parking lot. Yes...Donkeys. There were two roaming the parking lot when we arrived. The area is famous for the wild burros. Fun for the kids to see! Just don't try to pet or feed them.

"High Hopes, Zero Hustle: Why I'm Skipping Loma Linda University Health Clinic"…read moreI was genuinely excited to become a new patient here--everyone raves about the doctors. But after yesterday's fiasco, I'm taking my healthcare business elsewhere. Called repeatedly at 1:20 PM--no answer, just endless ringing. Tried again at 3:30 PM and finally got through to Sandy. Explained I'm a new patient seeking a primary care doctor, gave my insurance info, and she put me on hold. Fifteen minutes later: "Our system's down, can't reboot it. Call back later." I politely declined and asked her to call me once it's fixed--gave my name and number clearly. Her response? "If you don't hear from me today, just call back tomorrow." I said no again--please call me when you can actually access the system. Crickets expected. For a top-tier health system, this level of phone-tag frustration and zero follow-through is unacceptable. First impressions matter, especially when you're trusting them with your health. Too bad--the reputation had me hopeful. Moving on to providers who actually answer and value my time. If you're reading this as a patient or staff: Fix the phones and callbacks. People deserve better.
