I was overwhelmed by the process of finding help for my brother and RH seemed like a perfect solution. My brother was doing well for about 3 weeks and then he started to decompensate and began having panic attacks which landed him in the hospital 3 times. Unfortunately, my brother isn't just an addict but has serious mental health issues, as is often the case with addiction. My main issue with RH is that they have a nurse practitioner, not a doctor, who is offsite 6 days a week handling the meds and care of every patient. This NP was impossible to get a hold of and no one seemed to want to give me their contact info, I eventually got an email address, sent an email but was never responded to. My brother was hospitalized 3 times, the NP should have reached out to me. My brother's psych Eval was done by his therapist, not by a licensed psychiatrist. RH seems like an excellent facility if your main struggle is addiction but if you or your loved one have serious mental health issues I don't think RH is equipped to handle that. I will say that my brother's therapist Brianna was incredibly communicative, helpful, and easy to talk to. The house manager Chris was amazing and helped my brother so much, and Mike the executive director was also very supportive. Overall RH did what they could to help my brother and were supportive and helpful in us switching him to another facility called Watergap. In the end, you could tell that they truly just wanted what was best for my Brother. I hope this helps anyone in the same situation as me.

Dr. Adam Antoine is the real deal. For the first time in a long time, I actually felt seen by a…read morehealthcare provider -- not rushed, not dismissed, not reduced to a checklist. He gets it. What sets him apart is his ability to think outside the box. He's not practicing with blinders on or hiding behind a degree -- he brings genuine curiosity, a growth mindset, and a well-rounded perspective that you can feel the second the conversation starts. He connects the dots in ways most providers don't even attempt. His energy is authentic, his approach is refreshing, and he restored something I honestly thought the healthcare system had taken from me: trust. If you feel like you're done trying -- go see him. Anyone who says otherwise probably doesn't understand the value of someone who genuinely wants to help you become the best version of yourself. Doctor Adam (and I use the word "doctor" with caution) is the most neglectful psychiatrist I have…read moreever seen or heard of in my many years receiving medication management. He is purely transactional -- zero talk theapy. Far worse, he is absolutely negligent. On many occassions he has ghosted me for weeks -- not filing prescriptions that I depend on for my emotional well-being (which is borderine criminal). He should have his licenses stripped from him. PLEASE AVOID THIS INDIVIDUAL at all costs. To show what kind of person he is, he once held me "hostage" while coercing me to write a 5-star review. I suspect that many of the 5-star reviews shown here are artificial. Completely unethical. Please be careful. Follow-up edit: He emailed me in response to my post within 5 minutes, while it takes him over a week on occassion to respond to a refill request. This shows that he is only concerned with optics as opposed to providing a high level of service. Further, his business manager responded (within 10 minutes) with an iilegal post (i'd suspect?), referencing a category of medicine that violates doctor-patient confidentiality.

That description of him is very accurate. He is without a doubt the best doctor I have ever dealt with. The attention you get from him is outstanding. If you're experiencing a problem, you can be sure you will speak to him that same day. His office staff is just as attentive. I highly recommend him. You can be sure you will get the best care possible. Thank you Dr. Mekles for helping me get back to myself again anxiety-free.

My experience with Dr. Brian Pell deserves to be publicly documented so others know exactly what…read morethey are walking into. I booked an appointment specifically for an ADHD assessment, clearly stated as such. That was the entire purpose of the visit. Yet, during the call, Dr. Pell casually informed me that they are not conducting ADHD assessments at this time and may resume, possibly in January or February of next year. This immediately raised a red flag: if you are not offering the service, why accept an appointment for it? Why bill insurance for something you never intended to provide? The entire interaction lasted 18 minutes, and not a single part of it resembled an evaluation. Instead, we spent the bulk of the time discussing my career. He asked about my former psychiatrist's nationality; he seemed very interested in why he didn't take insurance "as a Black doctor" (which I perceive as a common conflation between race and poverty). He then asked only two quick, surface-level questions about why I was seeking an ADHD assessment. Then in the same breath that he told me they are not doing assessments, he also told me that I probably do not have ADHD. He said this despite the fact that I was coming to him for a second opinion after already completing a comprehensive, legitimate ADHD evaluation with a diagnosis from an actual specialist. (I did not share I was coming in for a second opinion, as I didn't want it to be biased). He provided no testing, no structured questions, no clinical methodology, nothing that even remotely resembled evidence-based practice. The whole thing felt dismissive, and frankly, like a complete waste of my time. I left the appointment feeling misled and deeply uncomfortable, as insurance had been billed for a service that was never delivered. If you are seeking serious mental health care, diagnostic clarity, or responsible clinical practice, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. This experience felt unhelpful and entirely out of alignment with what any patient should expect from a licensed provider.

Unlike previous psychiatrists I've seen, Dr. D actually takes the time to talk to you to better understand your situation and provides real guidance on how to do things better or different. He is considered one of the top experts in OCD in the area and was highly recommended by my psychologist. He even runs a monthly OCD group session. I don't understand the reviews from people saying Dr. D was "over medicating" them. My experience has been the complete opposite. In fact, I am taking half the medication I used to. What I also like about Dr. D is that he doesn't just rely on meds alone. He asks about your sleep, whether you're exercising, and considers many other environmental factors in your treatment. He also has a good sense of humor which is the complete opposite of my previous psychiatrists. Highly recommended!

Though my time spent with…read morehim has not been to the level of years as some other patients who have left reviews, I have never been more joyful about finding the right doctor. He does not boast, however he is extremely intelligent. He likes to allow his patients to think and advocate for themselves, and draw their own conclusions, with some guidance. He is excellent at challenging his patients, which if you are anything like myself, is much needed and eventually greatly appreciated. To those of you neigh sayers that have left reviews about being quick to assess, being a waste of time and money, and quick to medicate, I invite you to rethink your experience with Dr. Donnellan. Do we not all quickly assess a situation when it is thrust upon us, whether right or wrong? Second- your time, your money. Trust me, he makes your time worthwhile whether you see it quickly or it takes a bit. Medication- stop and think how long it may take to find the right combination. You have to start somewhere, and proceed with what works and what may not work. Give yourself and Dr. D some patience, and you will start to see a difference. Overall, I could not recommend a better listener, positive instigator, and excellent clinician. If you are willing to change, and put the effort into doing so, Joseph Donnellan is the right fit for you.
