Recently, we became full-time California residents, and, this seemed to be an enormous task coupled with all of the challenges that we perceived that the Covid-19 restrictions presented. However, Helene made extraordinary efforts to make us feel comfortable and safe. We cannot think of a thing that we asked of Helene or her staff that did not result with a "of course, we can!" response. Dear Ms. Kauffman, I would like to take this opportunity to…read moreexpress my sincere gratitude to you for making the decision to take my case. When I received your message that you would, indeed, take my civil case in San Diego, California, North County Court, I felt completely relieved as if the world was lifted off my shoulders, as you are known as one of the top lawyers in this field of law. I am a 70+ year senior, 100 percent disabled and homebound and from day one, our very first meeting by phone, I knew that we had a chance at winning this thing, and fortunately for myself, this soon may come to fruition. I realize that this was not the easiest case to win, and that you were required to spend long hours researching and putting your presentation and court motions together. It is for this that I thank you. You treated me just as well, if not better, than your more prestigious clients. In fact, I was not prepared for the kindness and consideration I received from you and your good staff. It was not all "business" with you, it was something more personal. This made me feel secure in you handling my case. Thanks to your expertise and extreme prowess, my case not only saw the light of day, but can potentially be won without going to trial and justice would be served. Your dedication, your attention to detail, vast knowledge of the law and diligence made this all possible. You and your staff believed in me and my situation, and did not leave my side, but remained steadfast through it all, even when it did not look promising. In the end, it will all worked out well. Thank you for not only being my lawyer, but also my friend through this. I appreciate the attention to my health and wellbeing, as does my family. All of us wish to extend to you, our utmost friendship, and hope that you consider yourself an extended member of my family, and if there is anything we can ever do for you, simply ask. Sincerely Lee B.

Although not a high stakes case, Rhona understood and respected my desire to defend my rights as a member/stakeholder in my HOA. We were met with stonewalling every step of the way and she called it out every step of the way. I represented myself in my ADR to conserve costs and when it proved to be unproductive, she was gracious to entertain another consultation and possible representation to take my HOA to court. I reached out to my first law firm too for another consultation and did not receive a response. This case is extremely important to me and to believe that I am taking it to the next level with the right lawyer should resonate with anyone who finds themselves in the perilous position of having to seek legal counsel to defend their rights, especially under unpleasant circumstances of alleged discrimination, bullying, baseless threats, etc.
