Imagine throwing a full dinner party for almost a hundred people , just a few weeks ahead, in South Orange county, and with a fixed budget. I also really hoped to spend some time mingling, instead of dealing with food...PLUS I wanted the actual meal to be something special (i.e. beautiful) and delicious? Oh, and not Take-out, or a 'drop and run' food delivery leaving me to figure out set up...Right. After calling around to several local restaurants, I got curious about what a "private chef" was all about. Enter Chef Warren. After a short conversation it was clear this gentleman was 1. A true professional 2. kind, accommodating, and down-to-earth 3. could read my mind and put my 'vision' on a menu while still keeping costs in mind. At total ease with everything from food allergies to aesthetics to cuisine styles. All necessary serving equipment we needed was available and he would even check out our event facility to avoid any surprises . Honestly he went the extra mile despite a full schedule, and made sure He and his assistant Chef Adrian had everything well planned and set. I felt like I had discovered a cousin who also happened to be a celebrity chef...and a really nice guy; incredible. Chef Adrian executed the service perfectly, and was entirely professional, gracious and handled the entire night beautifully from arrival and preparation to final cleanup...Our guests raved and loved all of it. Ada's 1st kitchen literally does it all, and she does it all to perfection. When talking to her I told her what my vision was, and she made that vision happen. Not only did she do desserts but we also got empanadas, enchiladas, rice and beans. Everything was absolutely phenomenal. An entree of pork tenderloin w/bourbon apple Demi glaze w/truffle risotto and grilled asparagus and brussel sprouts garnished with pumpkin seed and bleu cheese crumble. The other entree choice was a halibut with a creamy lemon chive sauce served with truffle risotto and the same veg. Everyone was served dessert which was a molten lava cake with vanilla ice cream! As a parent I needed to make the right choice that fit with our budget and that would also give my daughter and her future husband amazing photos to help preserve the memory of their wonderful day. I happened to be searching The Knot, and Kylie was featured. My daughter and I browsed her photos on her website and really loved her work. We then met with Kylie and she is so professional, yet so friendly and accommodating. She worked with our budget and gave us information to help with planning the timeline for the event. On the day of the wedding, it was hectic, but Kylie was calm and kept the photos rolling. The wedding was at the Fullerton Arboretum and when you combine the beauty of the arboretum and the talent of an amazing photographer, the result is magical!!! I just finished the wedding book and it is simply amazing! The lighting, the groupings, the settings were absolutely stunning.
