I am extremely pleased with my "Framing by Art" experiences. The quality is exceptional, as is the customer service. They are a small family run business and their prices are cheaper than Michaels! I have a canvas my sister bought off the street in Haiti. I told them I wanted it mounted because I thought they could straighten it out while stretching it for the mount. The owner explained and showed me how they could do it but part of the canvas would be eliminated to straighten it. We wound up framing instead and I am extremely pleased! I always like giving my business to a local shop and Also the reviews were stellar So I went in to get a consultation and quote on some very fragile, expensive Pre-Columbian textiles that are upwards of 1000 years old. This is definitely a job that you want a professional to do and Mr. Sung was exactly that. Immediately I could tell he was a very knowledgeable guy who was passionate about his Art and framing. This was exactly what I was looking for! He took the time to show me and educate me on many different kinds of glass, frames and backgrounds till I finally found the perfect setup. I got two high gloss posters framed here. It was some amazingly detailed posters of a game that's really important to me (Earthbound and Mother 3). I got them at Otakon. Both of them came out great! We went through step by step how each frame should be set up for each poster and why. He puts a lot of work into each piece making sure it's perfect. The price was higher than I would have liked, considering the posters I bought cost about $40. He did work with me to bring down the price which I thought was nice. It did come out wonderfully though considering that the posters were bending up on the corners a bit and was very high gloss so reflection would be an issue if there was any asymmetry. If I find something else that's meaningful to me and needs that extra work i'll bring it back here. read more

We are happy to give business to the locally owned and operated store. The owner was friendly, knowledgeable and presented us with many ideas and possibilities. He took a lot of time explaining everything to us, and giving us the best options available to us for our job. The price was extremely reasonable and came in a lot cheaper than what we expected and for what I had researched and was prepared to be quoted prior to going to the shop. We were pleased to find out that all the work is done on site and at the framing shop, vs. other big box stores that send the job off site to be framed. We weren't in a hurry to get our piece back, but it took a little over a week. The picture looks excellent and the framing is perfection.
