I understand 100% of the proceeds go to charity, but paying $10 for a pack of candlesticks (one candle missing) marked $7.50 from TJ Maxx is a little over the top. I noticed the inflation years ago, it deterred me from shopping here. I give it another try here and there, but I always leave knowing it's overpriced. Vintage items are worth the prices, but someone really needs to audit the items here! I remember when they would close for the summer & would reopen with everything being 10¢ for a week! Liquidate, restock, and price things how they should be tagged. They will learn you sell more items this way & will have more room for new items. It's Monroe, not Los Angeles.

I bought myself a very cool garden stake that is a light up eyeball! Can't wait to see it lite up and staring at my neighbors! The reason for only four stars was the lack of warmth and enthusiasm from the salesperson. They did not speak/greet or acknowledge us until I took my purchase to the counter. Just a simple hello would have been enough. It was interesting as we went into another store a couple doors down and apparently met the owner of both locations, if he had been in the Crow we probably would have bought more! Such a different experience there! I would definitely recommend stopping in, perhaps the salesperson was having a bad day.

I am normally quite careful in my purchases and don't really buy anything unplanned, but as soon as I started looking around, I casually fell in love with eight or nine things. I had to restrain myself to keep from going broke and thankfully only ended up making three purchases. My mom, who came in with me, couldn't resist either and ended up buying some gorgeous bird figurines to put on her mantle at home. I'm still obsessed with this little hen candy dish I saw there that I did not end up buying, and a beautiful wooden pheasant, and some ceramic ducks, and... can you tell we like birds?
