The scenario was the same. In fact every single cat was unfriendly. Not only that but in the back is a wall of litter boxes, open and gross. The person working the cat area then decides while I was there would be a good time to clean them, . This place serves food and beverages that are eaten IN this area! These cats are dirty and walking around where you're expected to drink and eat. It's not sanitary and frankly not safe when all the cats want to bite and scratch. The concept is good, the layout is terrible and it clear these cats are stressed.

We found Gomez now named Onyx at Petco my husband fell in love and we put in the application for him we got approved pretty quickly but was unable to pick up until the next day, we really wanted to get him out of that small cage as soon as possible but they wouldn't make time. When i picked him up they were late and didn't call until she was almost 30 min late told me there was an emergency and she would be there in about another hour.... Ok fine she gets there and pick up takes less than 10 min so again don't know why this couldn't have been done the day prior. Either way he's such a sweet cat and super friendly, he's also incredibly weird he loves cat nip and all his toys.

Nathan spent over an hour with me on the phone to dial in my custom H2 Hybrid Enclosure for my lineolated parakeet. The enclosure arrived in 8 FedEx boxes (I ordered a stand as well so that the cage is eye level and has storage underneath). Take your time, lay out all of the parts, and study the instructions before assembling. Once you start, you'll realize how intelligently it is designed. After assembly, Bob fielded a series of questions I had via email. They take their time with you, are very fair minded, and are super quick to respond. I wanted a chihuahua and it was taken off their photos, that was because he was being saved for me! But I remember being worried. My little Harley is doing great, they made sure my other Chi's were up to date on shots and they all met to check compatibility. The adoption fee for the Chihuahua was quite steep, ~$200. That alone should prevent someone without $$ from adopting lightly. But cats are cheaper, and for 'farm' cats, even cheaper. I thought everyone was super nice, super helpful, and the pets were clean, and the shelter smelled and appeared very clean. What more do you want? Harley had been neutered while there. As an RN, I was able to remove the sutures myself. No one is perfect, instead of leaving ONE * star, talk to them. Maybe leave 3 stars, it'd be more realistic. They are not bad at all! Quite the contrary.
