You might see someone you had forgotten about and end up having a really good night reminiscing, or you may be unlucky and have an old nemesis sit down right next to you. At Chippers I've experienced both. Overall its not a bad setup. Two big screen TVs behind the bar, a jukebox with the usual bar assortment, and two lofts, one for just sitting and the other with a pool table. Take note that if you don't like cigarette smoke then you will probably hate it here. It seems like EVERYONE is blowing out more smoke than the Clariton Cokeworks. Prices are good. $1.25 for a 12oz draft and 2.50 for a well mix drink. I'm kinda thinking that they pour the mixed drinks a little weak, either that or I've built a ridiculous tolerance, cause I had quite a few and wasn't really feeling it. Chippers also has one of the larger bottled beer selections in Meadville. The wings are good if you are feeling food, otherwise I haven't tried anything on the menu.

CLEAN bar with cold beers & good food... We were up there on…read moreSaturday and had a great time. We ordered the Buffalo Chicken Chips and they were delicious. The chips were home-made so they took a while but we didn't notice because we had a pretty fierce game of pool going on. The table was beautiful, sticks were all straight & the chalk (hand & cue) was plentiful. The chips arrived in a basket, covered with just enough buffalo chicken dip, sour cream & bacon to feed 3 of us. Of course it didn't make us full, but who wants to fill a belly while trying to enjoy cold beers and a beautiful day. The back deck was open for smoking and once we started on the 'Mini-beer' shots, well, LOOK OUT. We had a great time. :D

I ordered a dozen medium wings keeping it simple. The wings were a little bit larger than what you normally see at most places. I thought the medium sauce was well balanced and had a very good medium sauce taste to it. My only other thought is I wish the wings would have cooked for maybe a couple more minutes. I don't care for well done extra crispy almost crunchy wings and I also don't care for rubbery wings. My order was not rubbery thank goodness but a couple more minutes and I'd say they would have been 5 star wings. Imho
