The order was ready when we got there and the staff were friendly. They have a decent amount of seating inside with at least 6 tables and a lottery machine. We used a coupon for 2 hoagies for $19.99. We both got Italians toasted and a side of mozzarella sticks. The hoagies were better than I thought they would be! I'm picky with bread/rolls and this toasted hoagie roll held up well. It didn't crumble or fall apart. My only comment is that they don't slice the sandwich in half. So, you have to do that when you get it home. There was definitely enough meat and cheese inside to justify the price you pay. The mozzarella sticks come in an order of 5 and were crispy despite the 5-7 min ride home in the container. The marinara sauce was fine, nothing crazy. Would definitely order from here again.

3.5 stars! I had…read moreheard that North Star has good pizza from a fellow yelp elite and wanted to check it out! It's right off an exit on 22 and took me about 20 min from the West end of pittsburgh. Not much of a building in winter, with the entrance almost unrecognizable, but there is a mini golf course and tiki bar so I'm sure it's always bumping in summer! The service was fast but the noise level was kind of high for 5:45 on Friday night. The server was kind but she could barely hear us... We ordered 12 wings with their "hot sauce" and a Detroit pizza with pepperoni. The wings were good - not too small and well cooked. I really liked the sauce. The Detroit pizza was topped with a ton of pepperoni (which is good since it was $4 for it as a topping!!!). My biggest complaint was the temperature of the pizza and the greasiness. I know that comes with the territory of Detroit-style but the center of the pizza was warm but not hot and the crust was greasy. Overall I'd give the pizza like a 6/10. Middle of the road. Trying to decide if we'll give this place another shot...

If I were rating the pizza alone, this would easily be 5 stars…read more Slice On Broadway in Robinson has the kind of NY-style pizza I really enjoy. The crust is just right, the little pepperonis curl up perfectly around the edges, and there's a great balance between the cheese and crust. Their white pizza with spinach and tomato is my absolute favorite. I also really like their sausage pepperoni (the sausage is ground) and it's delicious. The reheated in store slices are fantastic. They put them back in the oven, and they come out absolutely delicious and crispy. The reason I'm giving 4 stars overall is the dining area. There's minimal ventilation, and the dining room can sometimes be a bit messy. I'd recommend getting your pizza to go or keeping your expectations modest when it comes to the seating area. The pizza itself is absolutely worth it!

The pizza here was pretty good and a great value at only $4.00 a slice. Service was friendly, but the current 'hip-hop' style music may not be agreeable to most or those with young children. My pepperoni slice had a thin crispy crust (with a hint of sourdough) and was topped with a light sauce, ample cheese and small curly pepperoni. I thought it could have used a tad more sauce, but delicious. Highly recommend for the flavor and great value
