Meijer will for sure be one of our go-to spots.

This store has most of what you need from a food staple standpoint but does not have the large selection and higher end items that you will find in the bigger "Super" grocery stores that are in large cities. Having said that, Being part of the Kroger chain does have its benefits to include very nice ongoing sales through the use of their Kroger Plus cards. These sales are really hard to beat and are a main competitive point for this chain where they are able to under cut the pricing of the competition, sometimes very significantly. Overall a very nice grocery store especially for a city the size of Two Rivers with good quality products at a good value making this the Grocery store of choice in Two Rivers.

Some staff were restocking, others were chitchatting and the others were at the service desk and pharmacy. All of the staff I encountered were irritated and responded passive-aggressive manner in their word choices and tone. O was traveling with a family member who recently had surgery limiting their ability to walk long distances. We chose to go to Walmart because we expected the ridding wheeled cart would o be available. None of the ridding wheeled carts (of which there were only 3) were charged or working. I noticed several staff using the carts, around the store and behind the service desk. I completed understand their need to support team members. However staff and customer needs should be balanced. If you are in the area and this store is the closest Walmart, I would choose another location (in Fond du Lac, Green Bay or Sheboygan) or go to Meijer.

They seem to be phasing out many of their organic offerings. Unlike Festival you have to hunt for organic products as they are scattered around the store. Festival has a dedicated area for organics. I must say that Copp's, er, PickNSave has gotten better organic produce recently. But you have to really watch what's going on in this store. I once caught them filling the organic carrot section with non-organic carrots. If you find something on sale, it might not ring up at that price when you check out. Watch the check out like a hawk. The other day my wife bought two pasteries. The store had them coded wrong. Instead of charging my wife 42 cents apiece, she was charged $42 apiece. A rude clerk scolded my wife because she didn't catch the mistake before she came to the check out line. Then my wife was informed it would take 3 to 5 days to have her over charge refunded. Their self check out is tedious. You will most likely have to get a human to help you. They closed the check out line in the liquor department; and now you have to go into the main store to purchase your bottle of wine. I have to give one clerk a shout out, though. My wife said getting charged $84 for two pasteries flustered her and she left a dozen eggs at the check out station. These were $6 a dozen free range, organic eggs. She went to the customer service desk the next day and told the woman what happened. The clerk went into the store, got a dozen of those high priced eggs and handed them to my wife, free of charge. This is an okay store but I still prefer Festival.

I finally got my order and paid, the women who cashed me out (not the pleasent women who took my order) never smiled or said "Thank you", maybe she was having a bad day or was just tired..not a major deal but I always believe customer service is a MUST. *I also made eye contact with an older gentlemen that was working in the back area who came out to restock the clean cups and gave him a smile with none given back* I ordered the Sicilian sub and It was spicy as it advertised so I enjoyed the first half but the second have lost it's appeal due to the spiceiness of the sub so I definitely will not be getting that again.
