The bed was so comfortable, I sank in when I layed down, it was great. Sheets were super soft, however polyester, so it was hard to keep cool at night, as they didn't breathe. Breakfast was served at 9 am, a plated breakfast at individual tables. It was nice, that way I could just have a semi private breakfast with my husband. We will definitely stay again! Furnished with eclectic antique furniture and ornaments, amenities such as lighting and plumbing are modern and luxurious. Rooms are scrupulously clean. Standing procedures are explained succinctly on an information sheet on room's desk; of course you can ask other questions via text, phone, or in person. Overall it is a real, comfortable home. Breakfasts were excellent. The owner is the cook; it is obvious she loves cooking and puts thought and care into preparing seasonal dishes. She was also careful to check about any food allergies guests may have. Subtracting 1/4 star because of baffling TV streaming network setup - with NO volume control! Although we aren't used to that at home, so it may not be a problem for other people. We were treated as special welcome guests; we definitely want to return on a future trip.

Pool was from the movie Vacation, no swans but hadn't been cleaned in a minute and the owner literally told us when checking in that he just put 1 million into the pool so enjoy it. I was a bit worried because of the reviews I had read, so I was expecting the worst, but when I got out of the car and stood on the beautiful beach right in front of our room, it was all good.. Ok the place itself needs a bit of TLC but the room was clean and the bedding was nice and I slept great. The people who work here are so nice and accommodating you forget that the place has taken you back to 1970, which isnt a bad thing... Our party of twelve had a great family weekend here and we'll be back
