The Black Tap

The Black Tap

This place has been open for about 6 months, and brews it's own beer on the site. Best go here for…read moredetails of their brews: http://www.blacktap.co.uk/brews Visited: 28/12/15 at 17:30 left at 23:00, only meant to be there an hour or two Friends let us know about the place. I don't normal go to pubs in the centre of Redditch. The bar area is quite small, and there is another room, which is even smaller. There is outside seating, but you'll need to wait for the warmer weather...... I drank the Freedom Lager, not sure if that is the same as the IV Lager, friend drank a bitter called "gold". Look after 7 pints things get hazy. Go here for details of their offers. http://www.blacktap.co.uk/special-offers They do a loyalty card a free pint after 10 pints.... I got 5 stamps, which suggests I bought 5 pints, or 5 rounds, and if my friend did the same then I am totally screwed. There is a period of happy hours, again look at the offers. That night they had an "open mic", look don't judge me I'm too old to know what these things mean, and so I had to look stupid and ask..... Some good performances too. Would I go back? Hic! Yes. They also do some food too..... As it was late....23:00.... we went for a curry: Redolence Spice (Redditch). Well, you have to don't you. Almost forgot... The ladies drank cider first and then polish off 3.5 bottles of Sauvignon Blanc. After the happy hour period a pint of lager and a pint of gold, plus a bottle of wine cost: £21.00..
