I will start off by saying that 5 stars are not nearly enough to rate the experience with my stay…read morehere. It really is already clearly stated perfectly in the name "FARM OF DREAMS". To say this majestic and beautiful place is a hidden gem seems both incredibly accurate, as well as not entirely accurate enough. I firmly believe that any way this amazing place could be described or complimented would somehow still be far understated. If I am giving the standard rating based on stars and personal experience, I must say that this is a "MUST SEE" Florida destination. The Farm of Dreams is magnificent from the moment you pull up to the coded gate that offers a very safe/private and personal experience. Anyone that travels with little ones in tow can certainly appreciate knowing the importance of this safety bonus as an amenity. From the time you book your reservation up to the time you check out you are met with professionalism that is complimented with a type of kindness and courtesy that instantly gives that home away from home feeling. This 120acre Campground/RV resort is Family run and absolutely impeccably maintained. While your family is enjoying nature at is finest the staff works non- stop behind the scenes. On a personal note, I would like to thank Brandy for being so professional while also always maintaining a friendly and welcoming smile. Your ability to accommodate to whatever needs my family had last minute was greatly appreciated as well as impressive. Cassie a thousand thanks for your professionalism that always seemed to be attached to a great big smile while providing the most absolutely best kept and immaculately cleaned facilities. I also want to thank Josh and Joey/aka JoJo for all that you guys helped me with during my stay. As well as all that you do daily to keep this property so manicured and pristinely maintained. It truly lives up to that resort style feeling while camping. From tents, r v's, campers and cabins to choose from for your experience, this family run Jewel is something you don't want to miss. Beautiful lake view, many trails to walk hike or ride on a rented golf cart to explore. Indoor outdoor games and activities that promise to leave you relaxed, unbothered and never bored! If you have not been to the website, I highly recommend you review all they have to offer. This salt of the earth, old fashioned family run Farm of Dreams has nailed it! What you read on the site is all accurate and then some. Almost 50yrs. living in Florida with countless camping experiences, this is by far the best of the best. If you are considering a camping experience look no further and book now. There may be times where they are fully booked and you certainly don't want to miss out on this one. I recommend booking far in advance, only due to the fact that it will not stay hidden forever. Thanks to Pappa Joe, Mrs. Linda and Diane. An amazing family and an amazing job that you guys have all done turning a farm into a literal slice of Heaven on Earth with the perfect name and resort style camping experience that will no doubt bring endless smiles, laughter, relaxation and fun for all who are blessed to experience the "Farm of Dreams'"

The route to the barn takes you through winding country roads of Old Florida. When you pull into the property, it immediately delights the eyes as the barn is just perfect in the middle of a field that has huge oak trees. The ceremony was setup underneath one of the pieces of natures artwork of an oak tree. White chairs and wood benches were partially under to. As the sun was starting to set, the ceremony began. No matter where the photographers stood, there was an amazing shot. After the ceremony, the guests were guided to the cocktail hour on the opposite side of the gigantic barn. High tops were nicely decorated. Drinks and finger food was displayed on two long tables. My kids along with many others were enjoying the wood swing under another oak tree. The grass was just the right length to not mess up your attire. Guests were having a wonderful time taking photos of the landscape. Now the moment we were all waiting for, entrance into the barn was well-worth the wait. When you walk in, the barn opens up into wood ceilings with huge chandeliers that romantically create the mood for the event. At the back of the barn, on the wall was a white sheer curtain lit was tiny lights. In front of that was the bridal party's table. In the back right corner was the bar. The back left corner was the DJ. In the middle of the barn were big round tables and several long tables. Everyone was allowed to pick their seating family style. The restrooms were decorated and extremely clean. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive to the guests. (I do not know if the venue has its own staff or if they were brought in with a caterer.) It was a wedding from dreams and fairy tales. Everything was perfect from beginning to end. I wish I had taken more pictures of the venue but I spent so much time taking pictures of my family at the venue. Even if you are not needing a place to rent for an event, you might want to use this farm for a photo shoot. It is that good. You have got to checkout their Facebook page.

He even gave me a course book so I could get familiar with what was in store for me. Can you say water and lots of it! Definitely bring extra golf balls because you will need them. I would suggest that golfers out there come and check this course out it's worth the drive to San Antonio.

This is a deed restricted community; each subdivision has its own HOA & dues. The restaurant is open to the public. Prices are surprisingly reasonable, but there's an automatic 18% gratuity added to every bill. Credit cards & cash are accepted. Reservations are suggested, but often you'll be able to show up & get seated-- just NOT on Prime Rib night once monthly. For $19 you'll get all the prime rib you want (it's the best I've ever eaten), all the cold shrimp & coconut shrimp, sides, salad, & dessert (often a cobbler w/ or without homemade whipped cream). It's really an excellent deal. Reservations are accepted up to 15 days prior to the selected Tuesday of the month. (Don't procrastinate!) Saturday breakfast is incredibly inexpensive--Fed five for approximately $35. The only breakfast food I would not recommend is the $1 grits-- flavorless. Sunday brunch is very good. It's popular, $9.99 a person, & well worth the money. The talented omelette maker (multiple pans going consecutively) will whip you up the omelette of your choice using varied fresh ingredients. It's all you can eat w/ lots of breakfast foods to sample. The bar (see pic) is open daily, & not only for booze & overhead sports; there's a separate food menu that changes approximately every 6 months. The food is quite good. There are inside tables as well as patio tables (see pic). And you can do as I often do-- takeout. Regardless, expect the 18% gratuity automatically added to your bill. Staff here is always friendly. Many have worked in this community for years. The regular 40-year-old female bartender has been here since she was twenty. Can't discuss the golf other than to say there are two courses-- 18 holes & 9 holes, both open to the public. Some holes are near the nature preserve; be prepared to see gators, deer, & other cool critters. There's a golf shop w/ a separate entryway on the side of the clubhouse. There are two pools for residents only-- an older, small, unheated one that's great for exercising; it's beside the Community Center. Bring your resident ID. And there's a large, gorgeous, heated, circular pool behind the clubhouse. Beside it is a wonderful, 15-person hot tub--see pic. The timer nearby can be set for up to one hour. Guests of residents must sign in at the clubhouse front desk & be accompanied by the resident (unless there's a written arrangement between resident & management.) They do check ID's! The clubhouse also offers residents a fitness center, a library, & many activity rooms (for organized clubs). Members & outside groups may rent the clubhouse for private functions. Lots of graduation & retirement parties held here as well as wedding receptions. There are two tennis/pickleball courts available to residents w/ 2 more under construction. There are often art shows at the Community Center, as well as yoga classes. There are regular dances w/ live bands at the clubhouse; all dances are themed. Recently, there was a NY dinner dance (you had to be from NY) & a 1990's music dance. Estate sales are abundant here (for obvious reasons). Many of the residents are not year round; they maintain a primary residence up north. Speed limits are low-- 25 max on the main drag & 15 mph on all other roads. This is a very peaceful & quiet development. And it's safe; the only crime here happened many years ago; a landscaper and his wife were breaking into homes during the day. Neighbors here look out for each other. Even though they're seldom outside their residences, they somehow see everything:) If you are looking for a party venue or peace & quiet, this is a very nice place. And if you're a senior citizen looking for hobby clubs (where you'll make friends), this may be the perfect housing community for you. Homes are two bedroom plus, & there are some duplexes. (See pic.) There are also rental homes available when the snowbirds leave; they are limited & they rent VERY quickly (& a year early). Why not 5 stars? There's a onetime $2,500 social fee upon closing on a home, monthly dues are $220 plus (golf not included), the on-site fitness center desperately needs updating, & some very out of date rules need fixing. One example: you can't bring a date to certain functions unless s/he is a member of the community. There are plans to update many of the antiquated rules, but that takes time; each issue must be studied and then presented to the board for a community vote. Still a very nice community if you want to rent the clubhouse for a private event, share in activities w/ others of retirement age (& up:) or just live a quiet life. 25 miles from North Tampa, TBGCC sits beside I-75 on Hwy 52.
