Breakfast the second morning. This was a few minutes before we engaged! What a great way to start the morning - delicious!!!!!

My fiance and I stayed at Foxglove from January 17 - January 19 and loved it - seriously was amazed by this place! He and I have been living in Green Bay for almost four years and have unfortunately, never had the chance to visit Door County. So, we thought this would be the perfect opportunity. We actually ended up getting engaged during our second day there so it now has an absolute special place in our heart. We were greeted upon arrival by one of the owners with hot coffee. She was very welcoming and took us to our room, Quite Rose, and showed us a short tour of the room. She asked if we came for any special reason and we told her we were just looking to relax, go whine tasting, and out to a nice dinner. She immediately had suggestions for both and even let us borrow menus for the restaurants for the next few days which was extremely helpful. She let us know we could call her at anytime for anything, but was happy to let us be with our key. And the next day, their were freshly baked muffins in the "lobby" along with the coffee - awesome surprise. We absolutely loved the room! The bed was one of the most comfortable things I have ever had the honor to sleep on, the whirl tub was big enough to fit two, and the fire place was an amazing touch (although it kept the room very warm, but that isn't a problem since we can control the thermostat and with an open window, its no problem). And the food, the food! Breakfast both days was out of this world. We were able to request what time we wanted it delivered and one of the owners simply knocked on the door to say good morning and left so we were able to get it when ready. They also asked if we had any preferences for food or food allergies, but we had none. About an hour before it would be delivered, we could smell the most amazing smell wafting up to our room of fresh baked breakfast. The first breakfast was blueberry pancakes, bacon, and fruit with coffee and the next breakfast was scrambled eggs, cubed potatoes, sausage, English muffin, and blood oranges. So versatile, but both equally delicious. Left us feeling very full, but not heavy. They even noticed my fiance uses quite a bit of creamer in his coffee so they gave us more the next day. Definitely gourmet breakfast!!! The details were impeccable, the room and house were very cozy, and the owners were incredibly hospitable and welcoming. Will most definitely be back.

We snagged the last remaining cabin available for the long fourth of July weekend. I was so excited…read moreto find a reasonably priced one bedroom cabin on the water in door county that I picked up the phone to secure it right away. They have online booking, I didn't use it as I prefer to call. The staff was friendly, letting me know this was an offsite cabin and they would charge my credit card right away for 50% of the rental. They also went over the cancellation policy. What they Didn't Tell me was there wasn't any WIFI at the cabin. One star taken away. There are 3 little cabins along the side of the road in Little Harbor 6 feet from the shore that are owned by Snug Harbor. Halfway between Sturgeon Bay and Egg Harbor. The cabin was old, very rustic and immaculately clean. Small bedroom with a queen bed, living room with loveseat, chair and working wood fireplace. They even supplied the wood! Small dining area with a kitchenette that had, cookware, dishes, silverware, towels, toaster, coffee maker with coffee, stove and refrigerator with freezer. Very nice. They even had fresh flowers on the table to greet us. The bathroom was small and nicely stocked with soaps, shampoo and conditioner. The only downside to the cabin is it's lack of light/ lighting fixtures. We had a nice deck overlooking the water, a fire pit feet off shore, outdoor grill and enough sun and shade to make it the perfect hang out spot on a long weekend.

There are grills and picnic tables outside to enjoy the waterfront and a community fire pit for gathering in the the evenings. Laurel at the front desk is so welcoming the staff is quick to respond and make our stay both comfortable and memorable.

We've stayed here numerous times before. It's nothing fancy but it's clean and serves its purpose…read more Rooms have all recently been remodeled and painted a blue/gray color (this color is also in the front lobby and hallways) and rooms have updated furnishings, large flat screen TVs, and beds. The desk staff mentioned that the bathroom vanities are the last item to be replaced and that's coming soon. Sadly, the color of the walls does nothing to brighten the room (or the hallways) and the two desk lamps are your primary source of lighting. Bathrooms have been repainted but are equipped with the bare minimum of hooks or towel bars. An additional hook on the back of the doors or something would be nice. Decorative items in the lobby area have all been taken down. They were nice and added a little extra something. Continental breakfast was very disappointing. French toast on Friday wasn't bad. Sausage links were consistently edible. When the sausage ran out, it was replaced with bacon. Barely cooked and borderline raw. The scrambled eggs that were out on Saturday morning were clearly leftover from the previous day. Waffle batter was already portioned out into plastic cups (I'd rather do that myself) and left out in the open. No fruit available. Bagels and breads were not restocked. We observed that in years past, there was an older woman who kept the breakfast area restocked and tended to and kept lobby tables clean. Now, the breakfast area is the responsibility of the one front desk staff member...who also does their desk work...and oversees the pool/hot tub maintenance. One person doing the work of three people is not working and the lack of care really shows. Overall, there's nothing wrong with the rooms here and the desk staff are nice and friendly and I've got no issue with them. But there are obviously some changes that have been made here and it's more focused on cosmetic appearance rather than improving the guest experience.

Our room had everything we needed: a kitchen with all included dishware, paper towels, coffee filters, etc., a nice updated shower with good water pressure, a fold out couch/sofabed (which we used, so it was definitely a necessity!), flat screen smart TVs with all the hookups for your apple TV etc if you choose to bring it (this is a must for us in the evenings since we like to watch our shows and chill out before bed) and a balcony with table & chairs to sit outside and enjoy the view. Our room was a bit humid - since we had the wall unit A/C and a fan in the main bedroom it never fully cooled down to where we would have liked it, but it was tolerable (we were out and about so much during our time in Door County, so we really weren't at the resort too much except to sleep!). I maybe heard a small amount of hall noise here and there but very rare (we were on the third floor). I never heard any of our neighboring units, so that was a big plus. The front desk staff were very kind and helpful. We used the washer/dryer and ice machine, as well as took advantage of the free coffee (delicious!). We also needed to print a couple of documents and were able to do that on a computer near the front desk on the second floor. We did not use the pool facilities, but both the indoor and outdoor pool looked very clean and many people were using both daily. The housekeeping is a bit unique in that can specify if you would like someone to enter your suite to clean/empty trash, replace towels, etc. or if you would just like replacement items (if this is the case you can fill out a dry erase form and place it outside your suite).
