The Foxglove is a meeting place for me and a mate and I always stop in and have a drink when I'm passing.
Its a chain pub with an attached hotel, but the food is good - it tastes like someone has actually stood slaving over a pot, rather than just zapping it in a microwave.
Someone has taken the time to pick some good wines and there is a nice selection of beers and spirits. Because its a family pub there are some nice soft drinks too, the juice blends are a welcome change from the usual J20's.
Decor wise its a bit twee and very faux old fashioned. Lots of horse brasses, open fires and wood. All in all its a comfy pub with good food and nice staff. read more
