First time was about 3 years ago and there were no issues…read more Rented a seed slitter to put down grass seed on Wednesday April 7th, 2021 and had a totally different experience. After picking up the seed slitter and transporting it to the planned work site, I lifted up the front of the machine to check out the condition under the machine. I normally wouldn't think to do this but just wanted to make sure that the machine was in good condition and that it was ready to go. What I found is depicted in the attached photo. There clearly was no maintenance check done on this machine after the last person who rented it dropped it back off. Rope/binder twine was wound around all of the individual splines and would have prevented the machine from working properly. I had to trailer the seed slitter and head back to my garage to be able to clean all of the rope out of the twines. This mess took me and another person about 1 1/2 hours to remove. Each piece had to be cut with a sharp knife and pulled off with plyers. After doing this, I loaded it up again and headed back to the work area. After using the machine for about 15 minutes, the drive belt came off of the pulley. Had to put it back on the trailer and head back to the garage to have the tools necessary to remove the pulley cover and get the belt back on the pulley. After finishing using the seed slitter, I took it back to the rental center and showed them a bucket full of rope that we had to remove from the splines. They apologized. I asked for a discount due to the issues involved and they declined. No reason provided. I was so tired from the experience that I didn't stay around and argue about it, but it will be the last time I rent anything from them.

I dealt with him 3 times and all 3 times he was passive aggressive with his responses to my question. The man doesn't give you any deals regardless of the amount of tools you rent. I rented a jack hammer and trencher around 4pm. On the ticket he only put the jackhammer for $55 a day. I told him I only need it for 10 foot stretch. He said because it's the end of the day he has to charge me full day. He then charges my card and "forgets" to add the trencher. I said "give me the price and charge me, for the only need for a 20 foot stretch as well." He says "don't worry we'll work something out in the morning since I know you a and longs way away". I rented both at the same time because of the 45 minute drive. Morning comes and the guy then tells me you owe 200$. I had to charge you the full day because I don't know how long you used it. I tell him 2 hours. He tells me, " I don't know if that's true." I respond to him, "I understand his point of view, but i rented the tools at 4 and left the store at 4:15pm got to the property at 5, used the jack hammer until 6, and the trencher until 8:30 (sundown) I can't trench at night for safety reasons and out of consideration for the neighbors." He says " people lie, not saying you are, but people do. The balance is still 200$." I paid it and I will never go back. The guys calls me a liar indirectly, even though the math works out. I returned the tools at 8am and will never return. I will gladly drive an extra 30 minutes to not deal with this man again. Do yourself a favor, go else where and save yourself the headache, and the money. Go rent the tools you need from a place that knows how to conduct business and values their customers. If you really need a tools from their, get the price up front and don't fall for the "we'll work it out when you get back" BS.

Was visiting and camping in Cadillac, and stopped in for breakfast because of the reviews I had…read moreread. We were definitely not disappointed! What a great breakfast! We were seated by the window so we were able to look out and enjoy the beautiful views of Lake Cadillac. Our service was great! Very nice and friendly. Nice quaint restaurant. Our food was delicious! We all left very full and satisfied! The portions were very generous. If you're visiting the area and are looking for a delicious breakfast, I highly recommend this place. If I'm ever back in Cadillac, I will definitely be back! Highly recommended!
