As of September 2026 there has been a major overhaul! Things are freshly organized and I was able to find really good prices. This will definitely be one of those Appleton hidden gems. read more

Poorly mismanaged even with the new upgrade it just looks nicer in there but still has the same high ridiculous pricing of chat gpt there using turning that place worse than before making it A I do people remember how not to be plastic and be real don't need robots taking over how used items that were sold how many times already taxed how many times already. This place is negative to the crew doesn't run with a good flow and pricing is crazy the aunt there needs to take a good look at herself in the mirror and ask herself if she's a good Christian woman like she said she was because this aunt is a horrible person she is worse than the old manager in charge and worse than the lady in the mask . Don't work there don't donate there put your items on Craigslist for free or marketplace don't waste your time going there . read more

Terrible customer service by owner she yelled at me for returning a cart that I used to haul my item out saying it wasn't sanitized my god next time il leave it outside for her to collect. read more

Shopping would be more enjoyable if there were no rude check out ladies. She gave me too much change, and when I said it was the wrong amount, she somehow blamed it on me. read more

This is NOT a thrift store. The prices are actually insaneeeeee. Nothing is organized. Just go to a actual thrift store or Plato's closet read more

super expensive, especially for a thrift store. another annoying thing is they write their prices directly on their products, often times things you would not be able to remove the writing on :( read more

As mentioned in previous reviews (which I didn't read until after I left the store) the manager, who is roaming the store in a mask, is extremely rude. From the second I entered the store she was putting clothes away and rather than say excuse me, she just invades your personal space and shoves clothes on the racks. The check out experience was even worse. It's a shame because they have great deals but they're losing customers from poor management. If I didn't actually find things I would give 1 star. Do better. read more

Another great non Goodwill thrift shop, featuring low prices, acres of space and lots of things to look at. I arrived 5 min before they closed, yet still was able to find and buy what I was looking for, a testimony to how much stuff they have, and how well organized it is. I plan to come back, as 5 min to shop wadnt nearly enough time. read more

Fox Valley Thrift Shoppe - Thrift Stores Near Me - Appleton, Wisconsin

staff rude. Someone needs to contact people in charge of managment. Store dirty and staff rude. Masked clerk is annoyed when she sees people coming into the store. Does she not realize, we pay her salary for being there read more

The store is dirty and everything is out of place they do not clean this store. The cashier is disgustingly rude, They are a used store but are charging $60 for used shoes that aren't $60 when they are new! $5 for a used bath towel! The manager doesn't care either she said "its ok when it goes half off people will buy it" that's why the state of the store us the way it is. I won't be going there again. read more

I've gone here for years and always had great customer service. Until yesterday. I was shopping the books when a woman came to and started ripping books off the shelves and throwing them into a garbage can on wheels. I had not had a chance to shop yet that section yet. When I said something she just kept throwing them in the garbage can. When I got the counter to check out after I was done shopping, I asked to talk to the manager, the girl I was talking to asked what happened, and as I was explaining the situation, the same woman comes up and says to complain to her since she was the manager! Left my full cart of stuff I meant to buy and said I would never shop there again, the woman continued to be rude as I left. So yes, that was the last time I will ever go there. read more

unreal hateful staff. I was looking at clothes and I asked to see something hanging up behind the counter but was told she was too short to get them? so I looked at the tag which was practically laying on the counter and was told not to touch anything! So I ask you Fox Valley Thrift Shop how do you expect to sell anything at all? The staff was so incredibly rude I will never ever go back into that smelly and I mean dirty filthy store. There were piles of trash pouring over cans, the bathroom! OMG so gross I didn't even attempt to go. I've been going there for years before Covid it wasn't bad they were still hateful at times but wow were they nasty today! One staff member didn't even acknowledge anyone I watched as a person asked for help in a wheelchair and they didn't even respond! I ended up answering her question! I don't know who or what runs this dump but I'm calling the city tomorrow to report the filth I saw. I sprayed myself with Lysol and was covered there's no way that place is safe. staples in tags imagine the diseases spread from scratches! FOUL needs shut down! read more

I had given the cashier a pair of pants to buy with the tag on, she ripped off the tag and told me she needed to re-price them, with the tag in her hand. Disappointing and very rude cashier. read more

I love this store. It is clean and organized. The prices are very reasonable. The staff is helpful and friendly. I always find a great deal when I go there. read more

I love thrift stores, and while this trip wasn't entirely negative, I probably wouldn't return. This thrift store had an overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke. Now- again, i spend a lot of time in thrift stores so I understand that the "smell" of donated clothing isn't always amazing..but it was quite disgusting and obvious that someone (sometime) had been smoking inside the store... The staff was friendly, the prices were great, but I prefer St.Vincent De Paul across the street. read more

No stars. I have been witness several times to the tirades of the Manager of this shop towards her staff. She yells at them and berates them right on the floor in front of customers. She has also gotten verbal with customers in public too. Whoever hired this Manager should give her a good talking to, and then hire someone else. read more

Needed to waste some time on a Saturday afternoon with some friends and decided to go thrift shopping. I've never been to this store and it was a good choice. It's a decent sized store and is well organized. It was easy to figure out what the different sections were so you could kind of find what you're looking for. An odd thing I noticed on almost all non-clothing items was they would write the price with marker on the item. So if you bought you need to wash it off. Recently I had the idea to make a Colonel Sanders costume and without even really looking I found these really cheap and nice looking white dress pants for $3. THAT'S CHEAP! I believe they only take cash here because they have an ATM sitting near the cashiers. I have a good feeling I can find many hidden treasures in this store. read more

One 0f my favorite places.... Not only to shop , but to ease my mind after a stressful headache day ... the staff is amazing let alone one of the best managers in site who I had a great pleasure not only working with but also a great mentor and somebody I look up too as a person a career professional and a friend....and of course was their for Yaya moments ... Somebody I can continue to say Ill have a great pleasure to work with as a staff member in the near future ....... like I always say in Yayas wording "just cause it's a thrift shop doesn't mean customers can treat the place like a 1 star store, and make the place feel less valuable " and maybe other wordings in Yaya literature , but tMI .... An amazing staff working their is like my second home like seriously who doesn't love fashion and when they say I can't I show them how where and with talent .. never be embarrassed by where one shops .. not many know the circumstances etc... working their I showed fashion is dueable at the fox valley thrift shop.. Alot of people tend to forget where they come from and hey a Yaya trend to make it a normal way of living without the negative comments made others see one should not be feared to post that selfie due to what an ignorant person might say or tweet or start a rumor about... I can say alot of well known celebs donated a towards the fox valley thrift shop to sh0w love and appriciation to their near by community here in Appleton WI XOXO with love yaya read more

BEWARE THE STAPLES! You have to be very careful when trying on clothes. You can contact blood born diseases if you stab yourself with the many staples used here for tags. I do not know when they still use them on clothing. One time I was shopping and stepped on a furniture tack that one of the associates swept into a pile right in the walkway. She told me to look where I'm going! I respond with "no, you need to be more careful with sweeping while people are shopping, why would I be looking down when I'm shopping" I was outraged and spoke up a manager. They have lowered their pricing, which is great. But the staples ruin it for me. I have been going for years though. read more

literally my favorite place in the entire world trust me and go on a Wednesday :) read more

Some good deals however some overpriced.most of the employees dont look happy.the dressing rooms were dirty.they need to remember they are a thrift store when pricing items!! read more

Not a great place to work, people being nasty if they are asked to train new employees, and an unwillingness to do the job so the new employee can preform the duties needed, also they pay a little over minimun wage, and charge the employees more for the items then the customers, really odd, can't imagine who came up with that brain storm... nothing was liked about working for this store. read more

Great thrift shop if you want recycle useable items. If "life" bothers you, it may not be your cup of tea.
