I live two miles from here, and got my blood drawn here today. I arrived 10 minutes early. I checked in, sat for ten seconds, was called in, had my blood drawn, and left. All told I was in the office for 7 minutes. I left three minutes before my schedule appointment. It literally took longer to drive here than it did to complete my appointment. Well prepared, efficient, and fast. 10/10, would get stuck by needles here again. read more

Excellent on every level- Professional, knowledgeable efficient - Always ready to take good care of their patients.

I had gone here my entire life until I permanently relocated to Evanston. They're now part of Northwestern Medicine, which is also the parent company of my current doc. I'm visiting my family for an extended period of time in St. Charles. I have an ear infection and went on antibiotics last Friday (that were prescribed not by my primary care doc in Evanston, but by a doc in the Glenview NM office who was able to do a telemedicine visit with me since she was the only doc available on short notice). Fast forward 6 days -- I still have lingering ear issues, and I really want to see someone in person to make sure there's not another underlying issue, and I wanted to have my ears cleaned out because my PCP told me I needed to have that done the last time I saw her, and I was lazy and never did so. I figured that might be part of why I'm not getting better. Despite that they have all my medical records because they're part of Northwestern Medicine, and that I went to FVFP for the first 26 years of my life, they won't see me because I'm not a current patient at their specific office and since I'm not planning to switch to them permanently. My entire family still goes there. The doctor I was trying to see delivered me 33 years ago. I'm in the suburbs and can't drive 2 hours to go see my PCP in Evanston right now, especially with the protests going on that make it really hard to get out there. They told me to go to immediate care instead, despite me saying I really don't want to go to a walk-in clinic in the midst of a pandemic. So, I'm now my only option is to schedule an appointment with my PCP when I'm back in Evanston. Hopefully whatever infection is still lingering doesn't become a major issue before then. Also, it was impossible to get ahold of the doc's office. If you call their main number it reroutes to NM's central answering service. The two women I spoke to there were perfectly nice and understanding, but it's not possible to call FVFP directly. And the nurse from FVFP who called me back was quite rude as I tried to explain the situation and why I couldn't go to my primary care doctor. read more

We were patients here for many years. Like many other reviewers, my experience with the staff and front office was nothing short of horrendous. We tolerated it because we liked our doctor. But, when our primary care doctor started to show indifference and lack of respect for the patient, well, then it was time to find someone new. I stayed within the Northwestern Medicine family, and am noting some common themes around the staff and front office. Very disappointing. read more

Dr. Neubauer has been my Dr. For over 15 years, and I can't say enough great things about him. He is my medical partner. We discuss issues, and he answers all my questions. When appropriate, he gives me options. He gives me the best medical advice, and we make decisions together. He refers me to a specialist when necessary and follows up. He is a fantastic doctor. I would hate to go anywhere else. read more

On 9/4/20, I contacted the office and requested that the practice manager contact me. On 9/7/20, I responded to a survey and submitted the following. My expectations of this practice were fully met by their failure to respond to either communication. The purchase of the practice by Northwestern Medicine heralded the retirement of Dr. Beah and the impression that the focus moved from being on the patient to being on the almighty dollar. We can't even contact the practice directly anymore. 1) REPEATED failures to renew my prescription meeting the requirements of my pharmacy. I initiated this process August 8, 2020, and STILL don't have my medication.* (2) The woman who did my intake, vitals and flu shot did NOT identify her credentials verbally or by her I.D. badge. (3) She gave me my flu shot and THEN asked me the screening questions that should have PRECEDED the injection. (4) When a family member was experiencing issues that led to a life-changing diagnosis they had difficult talking to the doctor directly, except for one call. (5) Following the diagnosis, our primary care physician, Dr Leazzo, NEVER contacted them to follow up. (6) In the past, I had a skin lesion removed. The sutures were badly done, and in fact, one pulled out. (7) After prior negative reviews we have never been contacted by the practice. My wife and I are both Registered Nurses with over 80 years of combined experience in health care. We expect more from our medical providers. We are in the process of transferring our care to another family practice. * As of today, 9/10, I still don't have my prescription and the pharmacist had to make the change! read more

Getting a hold of them in a nitemare. Waited on hold for 30 minutes to try and make an appointment. Zero appointments available this week and next. Northwest Medicine is a disaster and ruins everything it touches with long wait times and poor customer service. read more

Our family has been going there for years and experienced good service. The service just plummeted after they were taken over by Northwestern. They have very limited capacity to treat even simple conditions and immediate refer you to another substandard Northwestern provider. Physicians no longer are able to answer simple questions over the phone, the office staff is very rude and never returns phone calls. To make matters worse, I tried scheduling a simple blood draw and was told I am now considered a new patient and must return for a new patient wellness visit just so they can collect another fee. No thanks we are moving on to an office that actually cares about patients and not further enriching the Northwestern network! read more

I have been going here for 20 years about. The receptionist has become cold and uncaring and definitely not have any knowledge or compassion. She sounded today like she is doing me a huge favor to make an appointment to see a doctor.... manners are lacking. the practice has become impersonal and cold. I have become disappointed over my medication being recalled 3 x and the dr still wont change it. Also, the nurses used to return calls that day or even just get sent back to talk to one, now its oh no... they wont answer until next week. I feel like a number and not important. The doctors are nice, but the staff is rude and uncaring which has gotten worse over the years... sad why nice doctors have such horrible staff. And for this, I can not recommend this practice any longer. On a good note, the lady who takes blood is exceptional. read more

A PA, not my regular pa because I don't like my doctor, sent me for tests. I really like Central DuPage hospital so I went there. Didn't hear back from anyone at FVFP for about 14 days regarding results. So I sent an email on their website asking about my results. I got a call within 48 hours. With a referral to two specialists. One of which is a cancer clinic. Dr F, PA, nurse or office staff didn't get back to me for about 14 days after my tests. I can hear the responses in my head, "It's his/her health! If they were that worried why did he/she wait for two weeks?" Ever been dumped by a doctor or clinic? I'm thinking I might be after this. Two stars? Because I really like Lynn my PA. read more

I have been a patient at this facility for the past 20 years and was very happy until about 4 years ago. Just got back from a fasting blood draw appointment off site and as usual, the paperwork was never sent over. At least they are consistent. They have made this same error the last 4 years. Leaving and finding a new practice. read more

Dr. Hazel is wonderful; very patient, thorough and kind. His nurses are wonderful too, but the clerical staff is not. When calling to schedule an appointment, leave a message for a nurse or simply ask a question be prepared to receive very unprofessional treatment. Rude, short and always trying to cut you off. The clerical staff even messed up my records request. They copied half of my file and half of someone else's (private, HIPPA covered, personal!!) file and gave it to me. I about fell over when I opened the folder and saw someone else's personal medical information. Very disappointing and disheartening (and not to mention scary!). read more

For the thousandth time I was left in the small waiting room for an hour.... My appt was at 10 and I made it over a week ago. At 11 I got up and left and on way the doctor asked if I'd like to reschedule.... No, no I would not. read more

Unbelievable. My favorite doctor there retires and the doctor they decide to hire mis diagnosis me 3 times. I end up in the emergency room. Then send me for tests he never odered, non of the nurses can anser any questions. The actual doc can't ever pick up the phone and anser the questions. . And I am told they cant provide me services any longer. Unreal. Maybe use your degree and treat your patient. Granted it doesnt take a degree to listen..... or may it does. read more

Went to a specialist referred by Dr. Willis and found out that (a) no referral was received, (b) physician is out of network, and (c) incomplete records (no history) had been sent. When I called to discuss this with Dr. Willis' nurse I learned that no nurses were in because Dr. Willis was at the Elburn office. So, I left the specialist office hoping that my health issue is not urgent. Something has changed with this practice. Too many nurse/administrative details are "falling through the cracks." And why did two physicians leave the practice this year? read more

I've been a patient of Dr. Fremgen and Dr. Cladis for the past 20 years and they are both great. I've been a patient of Fox Valley Family Physicians for the past 30+ years. But, I haven't been there in a few years and tried to make an appointment today for help with an illness I endured the past 5 days. They won't let me make an appointment until February because they consider me a "new patient" according to Donna the receptionist. This "new patient" has been seeing these doctors longer than she's worked there, that's for sure! It's nice to know I cannot count on my doctors being available to me when I'm sick. Not my fault I haven't been sick in a few years. read more

Extremely rude receptionist. Called as a potential new patient, their website stated the Dr. WAS accepting new patients, ask the receptionist to make a new appointment and rudely told the Dr. wasn't accepting any. Told her the website said he was accepting them and that they should probably update the information. Was rudely told she'd tell the office manager. Will never see anyone here due to rudeness. No thanks. read more

I've been going to Fox Valley Physicians for over ten years with little health issues. Now I am experiencing some health issues that are a little more serious. When I called to get an opinion from my doctor about the care I was receiving from specialist, the best I could get was a call back from his nurse telling me to go to the doctors that I am already seeing. Nice to know I am not worth 2 minutes of his time. Then I received a call telling me to go and get lab work for refills on daily meds I have been taking for years. I go get lab work weekly because of what I am currently going through. Way to take the time and check the info that you receive about me! read more

My entire family has been treated at FVFP for thirteen years. This is a thriving and professional practice, yet it still manages to feel local and personal. The nurses and physician's assistants really stand out. You won't notice staff turnover, which is an excellent sign of a stable organization. As long as we are still living within driving range, this is where we'll seek treatment. read more

I love my current doctor, she knows what she's doing and is very pleasant; however I have had all (except MAYBE 2 times) negative experiences speaking to any office staff or nurses on the phone. I have been snapped at, given attitude and spoken to like I am 5 years old more times than should ever be tolerated in a profession dealing with people. read more

I missed my first appointment and they charged me no-show. I didn't agree - they never had me agree on no-show charges in advance, nor did they send me a reminder. If they think they are entitled to no-show payment, they need to at least do some work on their part. I called and wrote to dispute the bill a few times, but nobody cared to listen. Bills kept coming and eventually my bill was sent to a collection agent. I wrote to the agent explaining the situation. I started receiving no-show bills back from the clinic again, and they wrote me one more time threatening to turn my account over to collection. This clinic is either very mean or a robot, not deserving any star. read more

I'm going middle of the road on stars. I had been a patient here for 25 years. I've always been satisfied with the care I've received. Sometimes having to wait. No big deal, it's a doctors office. That's expected. I moved out of state a few months ago, and the lack of ability to transfer my medical records in a timely manner is appalling. I made a request via a new provider a full month ago. Today, I received a note (USPS) that they will hold my records until I pay them $15. Besides the outrageousness of the request on its own merit, why did it take them a full MONTH to respond. I called them, and was told by the person in records: "I was out for a few days last month, and now there's a backlog". While perhaps not the fault of the person that answered the phone, this is completely unacceptable from a large practice. I was told the only way to get my records was send a check (more delay) or give them my credit card number. I did pay the ransom by credit card and told them that the request that I made "early", is now under time pressure, and I need my records forwarded promptl. The response "I'll see what I can do about getting them sent out next week". I'm obviously agitated. I read some of the other reviews and see that their administrative duties need work. Add one more dissatisfied patient. If I still lived in the area, this would have sent me to another health care provider. Not much else I can to but air this publicly, as I'm already not going back. read more

Horrible practice! They don't care about people. Their internet is never working in elburn and they can never take payment for copays. Then they get mad you didn't pay it..then they send bills in wrong persons name...then they send nasty letters. They keep you waiting in waiting area for hours sometimes. A office person named Janelle is very rude and not good at talking to people. It's a shame the practice is so horrible with how they treat people because I liked my Dr and nurse..hope to find them at a different medical group one day..stay away if you care how you will be treated! read more

Have been going to FVFP for over 24 years. Our favorite DR Beeh retired and now we are totally disenchanted. The new replacement cannot compare. Trying to get a refill on prescriptions is a nightmare. My son did not like the new replacement DR and wanted someone else. Since he did not like Dr. Liazo, they now kicked him out of the Dr's office and told him since he does not like Liazo, he is not allowed to see any other Drs. in the practice. I hate to tell them but having a personal Dr. is very personal and should be a choice. Just because one Dr. is replaced does not mean we all have to like him or use him and we should be allowed to pick who we want to go to. They lost our business, all my friends and family as well. Totally disappointed. read more

Doctors might be good but the front office staff are extremely rude and unaccommodating. The front office staff continuously mishandles prescriptions, lab test paperwork amongst other things. When you have a concern they could care less about the patient. Do you chose the doctor or the front desk??? The doctor I guess but it makes it hard when treated with such disrespect by their non-medical employees. read more

I have been a patient of FVFP for the past 16 years. Before they were bought out they were AMAZING! Now getting an appointment with your doctor or even a physicians assistant is ridiculous. you ask the receptionist to send a not back to the doctor and they give you a hard time and sometimes even refuse to send a note back to your doctor or a nurse. There are times you call same day for an appointment and they tell you they cannot see you and to go to urgent care. They have gotten so busy and so overwhelmed with patient flow you are almost always waiting 30 min before you even see the doctor. I hate to say it but I am going to have to look for another doctor because I can't even get in to see my one here. It is very sad. The doctor and nurses are AMAZING it is the front desk staff that needs an attitude adjustment and need to understand people calling are sick and not feeling well and would like answers from THEIR doctor not from a gate keeper. read more

I've been a patient with them for over 15 years. All the doctors and the PA's are great to work with. They care about their patients and will listen to your concerns. I've always been able to get appointments fairly easily for any of our family members. Most of the staff there are friendly and willing to help you out. Occasionally some aren't as friendly as others and unfortunately they're at the front desk. I can ignore that as everything else is great. read more

The care and doctors are a 5, but receptionists...especially Jenny and Agnes ( who are terribly rude) are a 1. The last 4 or 5 times my family has needed a doc we were told to go to urgent care as they could not accomodate us. The'attempted visits were for things like sinus infections, viruses etc. if I wanted to depend on urgent care I wouldn't have a primary care doc. It seems they only like" med check" visits. These are well visits required to get prescription refills. I just don't get it. read more

I've been going to them for many years, and in my opinion and my own view, they have gotten so big now the quality and customer service is not good. The last straw for me drawing my opinion was how I've been treated most recently. My RESCUE asthma refill was up, and i called and they said would refill prescription call my pharmacy in 3 days etc. waited, called pharmacy there's missing info from doctor call him and let him know - so i do, and wait some more. Call again week later, we never got the information. Call again there's a problem with the perscription call doctor and let us know. So i do.....(this is now 4 weeks later, all the while mid summer no rescue inhaler) the only way they will fill it is until i come in for another appointment. The BEST part is rather than argue which will do me no good, fine I can come in today, tomorrow my asthma is acting up need my inhaler at times......the response I get (not kidding) is FIRST appoint is two months away. Don't people die from asthma, what if I get an attack? Doesn't seem to care, first appoint is two months thanks. If this is the kind of service I want from a family doctor, I DO need to go see a doctor. read more

I agree with the reviews, the receptionists are very rude even with a slight emergency. We have been going there for years, but since the Doctors don't care how their patients are being treated up-front - we have moved on to a much-more up-to-date practice that will listen and help!! (And the staff is also very friendly and helpful!) read more

I've been going to Fox Valley for many years and recently I've noticed a steep decline in patient care. Lately, every time I've gone into the office I've had to wait to been for 30 minutes or more, only to wait for HOURS in the actual patient room to be seen by either the doctor or PA. Today was the worst experience of all. After waiting 2 hours to be seen by the doctor, I was told to go home because he was stuck with a patient. Why even schedule an appointment if things are that backed up? They sent a patient home who is clearly ill without a proper examination. Currently seeking a different practice. read more

I have been going to the Geneva location practically my entire life. I was always happy, but am thinking maybe it's because I don't know any better. I find the staff to be hit or miss. They will either be great or awful. More recently in the past couple of years it seems as though no one communicates properly between departments. I show up for an appointment to get shots for a trip, and they have no record of what shots were ordered. They also scheduled me for blood work, but can't tell me why because it wasn't transferred to my file. There are issues because most of their files are electronic, but mine is still a paper file, etc... For my regular check ups I tell the assistant things to add to my file I'd like to talk about, and the Dr. doesn't even read... So disorganized. To top it off a preventative prescription for my travels was never called in and the receptionist on the phone was rude. I feel like I constantly have to follow up for their job. I stay with them because I think they will provide a better service due to my long standing history, but it seems to not make a difference. They need to get it together over there. read more

I went to this clinic about 5 times. Initially for a sprained ankle and then, because I had just moved to Geneva from the city and the doctor seemed alright, I decided to use them for my regular care. The first couple visits were fine, but after that I started facing unnecessary red tape every time I spoke to the office staff. It seemed they happened to be having "computer issues" every time I needed them to check my records or my account, and my appointments started getting mixed up. I finally ended up transferring to a new doctor after an appointment I had made 3 months in advance for a simple blood pressure check was mysteriously changed from a Monday to a Tuesday, and when I called to tell them(for the 10th time) that I could not come in on Tuesdays due to my job I was told the next possible appointment was not for another 3 months. I would have been ok with the constant scheduling mixups and inconvenient appointment times if it weren't for the holier than though attitude of the office staff. The office staff seems to think the patients are in need of lecturing and like to use phrases lie "if you'd let me finish...." and "it's your responsibility to...." They have no concept of customer service and it's almost as if they feel a patient are some type of bothersome pest that needs to be put in their place. I have since started going to Dreyer clinic in Batavia and have found them to be much friendlier and more convenient. I would never recommend this clinic to anyone who expected to be treated with any type of respect. read more

We have been seeing Dr. Beeh for over 10 years now. Let me say this clearly, WE LOVE DR. BEEH!!! We give HIM 10 stars!!!! He has always gone above and beyond for us! Those people that answer their phones though.....They are beyond rude, I swear they have no hearts, don't listen to a word you are saying and on and on! Doesn't matter who you get, Debbie, Agnes. Any of them! I would love for Dr. Beeh to go off and start his own personal practice! And he needs to take Karen with him. Those people who answer the phones put such a bad image out there for the doctors. Well, for Dr. Beeh at least. I've dealt with a few of the other doctors and am not too impressed by them. I ended up having to take my son to the ER because the on call doctor wouldn't listen to what I was telling him was going on with him (long story). Don't even bother going to the office manager, that gets you no where! My husband has been hung up on by one of the people answering the phone. HUNG UP ON! Who does that?! If you are new to the area, look somewhere else for a doctor! Stay away from this place!! It hurts me to say that since I do love Dr. Beeh! He is the BEST AROUND! read more
