My wife and I moved to Corpus last year and were first time home owners. We were somewhat ignorant…read moreabout landscaping, gardening, etc. When we moved in the backyard was a disaster, with only a single shrub and little grass. We contacted JDM Landscapers and Design after a recommendation from a friend. We met with Donna several times walking us through the design process, scheduling and letting us know what to expect. Joe and Donna were delightful to talk to, they were down to earth and reliable. Their workers were respectful and kind. Overall, what really stood out was: * Good listeners, heard wanted we wanted and provided guidance * Stayed within our budget * Prompt, timely communication * Very knowledgeable, answered all of our questions * Good follow up and made a return visit when we were concerned about a plant * Once the work started, it was finished within 3 days Without the slightest hesitation, we would recommend JDM for anyone seeking professional, quality landscaping. We look forward to working with Joe and Donna on future projects. Stephen & Teresa

I've used Chris and his team to manage the landscaping at our Cinnamon Shore home for several…read moreyears. While he started strong, the quality of work became unacceptable as he grew and diversified his business. We only have mulched flower beds and trees -- no lawn -- so our maintenance was minimal. Yet, I was consistently disappointed at the upkeep considering we were paying for bimonthly maintenance. Tall weeds growing through pavers, repeatedly dead native plants (like lantana), overgrown bushes, exposed sprinkler lines, cut sprinkler lines sticking out of the ground and not repaired, and a sprinkler system completely turned off just to offer some examples. After two years of having to completely replace our plants (and not due to the freezes) and repeated attempts to work with Chris to get our maintenance on track, I finally gave up. Photos of our yard from May 2023 provided for reference.

DO NOT HIRE ABC IRRAGATION…read more I hired ABC Irrigation to do an overhaul of my sprinkler system and am very displeased at their shoddy work and attention to detail. The heads were left either covered in dirt and grass, leaking, broken or unfinished. I would then call and they would return charge me another $400 leaving their work again unfinished. Our total bill exceeded their estimate by $2,000. and it still took me six hours to dig out and uncover the sprinkler heads. Again, do yourself a favor and DO NOT HIRE ABC IRRIGATION. They do not care about the quality of their work or the people they supposedly serve.

The addition of a planting bed, crushed granite walkway, address of muddy areas, & attention to drainage issues...all accomplished in a timely, professional, and in our opinion, cost effective manner. Care was taken with machinery as to not damage our cement walks/patio area. We are stoked with our new water wise, easy on the feet Celebration Bermuda, and so too is our pup! So I went to another one and got the trailer that fits. I called UHAUL to ask for a refund and first the lady said the guy could have just done a reverse charge to get my money but as it is, I cannot get a refund because I took the trailer out of the lot. You would think a big company like U-Haul could afford to refund thirty something dollars for something that wasn't even used and I still went to them to spend more money to get another trailer on the same day. Just bad business practice over all. So beware of U-Haul and this business.

My project was to put down river rock alongside the road to eliminate unsightly weeds. I prepared…read morethe area with a weed barrier and then began the search for a good rock material. I found Bay Area and contacted them and informed the sales rep that I needed 83 cubic feet of material (in which case calculated to 3 cubic yards). She corrected me and said 1 yard would do it. I paid for materials + $85 island delivery charge. Upon the delivery date I found that I was short approximately 2 yards of material. I called Bay Area back to reorder the 2 yards and the rep told me an additional delivery charge would be tacked on the material cost. After a lengthy discussion, no correction of delivery charge was made. Also, the lady kept stating square feet, square feet... It's, CUBIC feet, it's not the same! Not very happy right now...
