Over two years ago, I was seriously injured on my bicycle, disabled and unable to work for eight months, due to a motorist's negligence and unethical disregard for my welfare. Mr. Goetz's tireless efforts and astute legal strategy ultimately won a very fair settlement that also made me feel vindicated. Four other attorneys I'd approached before him had declined to take on the complexities and nuances of my case. Although it was clear that another person had caused, and not taken responsibility for, my damages, it was not an 'easy' case to win. But, Dean Goetz believed in me and making me legally 'whole', taking it on my case and giving it his all. He alone had the courage and the drive to defend my interests. I came to him several months after the incident, and the pain I was still living with even then did not go unnoticed. He conveyed that he cared about me as a human being who had been wronged, not just as a case with legal merit. He took the time to hear my account and put his faith in me, the truth, and his abilities to argue my case and present the evidence persuasively. He achieved his goal of making me 'whole' with commensurate compensation. He was perseverant in reviewing my medical records, relevant financial records, personal documentation of daily sequelae, police reports, and critical video evidence. Mr. Goetz and his team's shrewd and focused presentation ultimately was compellingly convincing. Opposing counsel had to acknowledge that he had proven the veracity of our case. You can trust this man and his colleagues to keep you informed, updated and, under scrutiny, on topic. He prepared me well for depositions. Dean Goetz has integrity, tenacity, and a true passion for representing his injured clients. He is a credit to his profession and worthy of emulation by his peers. He gives 110% and his litigation skills raise the community bar, so to speak.

Sadly, these are two qualities that are in short supply out in the legal community. I have never been involved in a legal dispute before and my nerves were shot and I was very uncomfortable with the entire situation. Henry was very patient with me and reassured me along the way that we were making the right decisions. I agree with a previous poster that I felt very taken care of and I appreciated being kept in the loop and having things explained to me in a way that I could comprehend. Henry is thoughtful and handled my case the way he would if he were to be in my shoes and not just about the dollar signs. I trusted his advice along the way and on the final outcome. I may have made him out to sound like a teddy bear but he is also intelligent and hardworking. He helped me to get tougher skin when I had self doubt, which is exactly what I needed! Avoid the big law firms where you might just be another client. Give Henry a call if you want an attorney by your side who will have your best interest at heart.

Additionally many times I've emailed him with questions or advice on legal matters and he's always given me his time, attention, and helped me out if possible and if it's not in his area of expertise, he's referred me to other lawyers, all without charge which I've always appreciated. He also criticized "whoever wrote this agreement" but my elderly family member had paid him a year ago to review the agreement in question and had succeeded in getting his recommended changes incorporated into it. He insisted on trusting the opposing party to act ethically while being advised that this was unlikely to happen, and then was forced to concede (by his actions--he never apologizes) that the advice given to him was right. I even had an instance where he argued with me on a legal point in the California Probate Code and he had to admit it was something new to him (but of course no apology was forthcoming). Not once did they make me feel like an annoyance, or a burden, or like I called too much. They made me feel like I was capable and deserving. When times got hard in those two years, they were my biggest cheerleaders, supporters, and advocates. This firm was recommended to me by a colleague that had also used them in about 2017-2018 and also had a positive result working with them. They are knowledgeable, hardworking, determined, and seriously had my back during the worst time in my life/through the worst situation I had ever experienced. They were prompt, called me back, their paralegals were kind and knowledgeable, and everyone had the same goal in mind, and they never lost sight of that for me. Eight months later, and my life has completely changed because of the settlement I received working with them. Sometimes I can't even believe it really happened and they fought so hard for me.
