Later, when the pain worsened, I sought guidance from a general practitioner who scheduled an MRI. I found out that I had a defect in my spine that was causing it to slowly slip out of place, and I started meeting with a physical therapist to strengthen my core muscles so they would keep my spine from slipping any further. She asked for a copy of my x-ray, and when she saw it, she said I should never have been allowed to get adjustments, and they likely made my condition worse.
