My AC went on on Sunday. They had a tech at my house Monday morning. The sales guy showed up Monday afternoon. (I knew I needed a new system....mine was 20 years old and I was just trying to get all I could out of it). They installed a new unit on Wednesday. One of the most professional, personable and competent company's I have ever worked with. Everyone on their team I interacted with was so helpful and professional. Talked to everyone involved and they all had worked for the company for several years. Which indicates they care for their employees which makes them in turn care for you. I called 3 times in recent years with an air conditioner problem. I have 3 units. Each time I was scheduled that day and each time someone called me approx. 30 min. before the technician arrived. The technician fixed the problem that day when possible. On the last occasion a fan motor had to be ordered from the supplier. It took 2 days. When the part arrived Foust called to schedule that day. It was installed and the down stairs unit is doing great. The technician actually adjusted the fan speed to a higher level to increase air flow. It has helped very much. Arrived home last evening to find an HVAC problem. Our regular company does not offer 24 / 7 service. We followed the reviews offered by previous customers and called Foust Heating and Air. Justin called us back immediately and indicated he could make the call. He asked several questions and indicated he believed he knew the source of our problem. He indicated the service charge for the call in advance and shared he would make every effort to repair but that there is always the chance that it could not be repaired. I appreciated his integrity and for setting expectations at the beginning. Justin arrived quickly and had the system fixed in record time. Also, the pricing was very fair and reasonable. Outstanding Service and reasonable I have always had outstanding service from Foust. They came out when we had issues with our AC unit. They we're on time and did a great job. They did not overcharge us like some companies that replace a $3 part and charge you $600. We also just recently had them install a new heat pump for us. They assessed our heating and cooling needs and gave us estimates with multiple options. No high pressure selling, just whatever we decided. I have a tenant in a property that needed HVAC work. They charged $84 for a quote (a quote that was over $300), overpriced for the work that needed to be done. I called the office and the receptionist discussed removing the fee for the quote to bring the costs to a more reasonable price and that the manager would send me an email to discuss. The manager sent an email shortly thereafter agreeing to discount the job $84 they had charged to go out to the property, which I agreed was fair. After they sent a quote which included the price with the $84 fee. I forwarded the manager the original email she had sent me citing a mistake, and she said she meant if I paid the original $84 for the quote they would then discount the work, essentially that there was no discount. Despite the indisputable language she used in her email and the context, she said I had misunderstood and refused to grant the discount. Clearly customers are not given the benefit of the doubt. I will not be hiring this company again as I do not believe them to be an honest practice. read more

I was fortunate to have Foust recommended to me by my long time heating and air technician when I needed I a new unit and the job was to large for him. This locally owned company has been wonderful to work with. After a year or so with them I added on a humidifier and air handler for the entire house.That was a great help. We have a Son who has Autism and is interested in Heating and air. The entire staff has taken an interest in our Son and each visit brings him a little heating and air gift. Honest, reasonably priced and professional! The friendly staff at Foust came to the rescue of my tenant quick, fast and in a hurry Friday after the AC unit stopped working. I was informed that the unit could possibly be fixed but due to the age and condition of the components it was highly discouraged due to not being cost effective in the long run. They honestly explained every possibility and helped me explore my options. They quickly put together even an estimate on different units I could choose from that met my specific needs. After I decided to move forward with replacing my unit Wednesday, they jumped into action. Only a few hours later that same day, they hurried back over to start removing the unnecessary things to start the install. They even offered window units to help my tenant in the mean time. By Thursday afternoon the job was done. I could not have asked for a more understanding and easy to work with company. Foust genuinely cares about their clients and it shows in their work. read more

Called the answering service and was told I will get a call back within 60 minutes, and if not to call back. An hour later, and no call. I called the answering service and they needed all my info again, and told me 60 minutes again. The receptionist was rude and told me that the time starts over with every time I call. The service itself may be great, I wouldn't know, but the answering service is AWFUL! read more

Called thismorning at 730 just to get my AC unit serviced. Was told to call back in 45 minutes if I don't recieve a call from an actual tech, ok? No call so of course I called back. Told to call back once again? Just called back once again and got the "sorry we won't have time today to do a service call, call back next week". Sure would have been nice to know the 1st time I called an hour and a half ago! Don't waste your time calling, very rude like it's my fault for bothering her with a phone call! read more

I have been dealing with Faust Heating & Air since around 2004 when they replaced my air conditioning system. They came out and appeared to do a great job installing the Trane system I bought. However, the system has broken down repeatedly and under the warranty I have paid more in repairs than the actual original unit cost. The A/C system has had multiple problems and they have been out to repair it multiple times only to have the same or similar type problems occur again and again. The compressor went out, it was replaced, something shorted out in air handler, it was fixed, now the air handler has a short in it again which is likely again from faulty wiring or something from the last time it was fixed not being done right. I only gave it a star because that was the lowest available rating. After calling them again tonight about this problem they first hung up on me before I could even explain the problem, then when I called back they wanted to charge me before even looking at with a "service call after hours" When I told them I wasn't going to pay them yet again for something that is obviously their fault the tech just laughed and said, "Well, I see if they can call you in the morning" I highly suggest you check alternatives in the Fayetteville, NC area before you even consider Faust Heating & Air. They have been a recurring problem that just never goes away. read more
