There isn't anything within walking distance of the hotel, so a car is necessary. As has been mentioned in other reviews, the hotel doesn't have an elevator, so you will have to carry your suitcase upstairs; be sure to let the hotel know if a disability or anything would keep you from bringing your bag upstairs so you can stay on the ground floor. The hotel provides free breakfast which has the standard eggs, breakfast meat and some carbs. The rooms are pretty tired but they were otherwise clean and functional. The gym was a decent size with a couple of cardio machines, some free weights and one weight machine.

It sold to a family that toured it the second day after it was listed and offered $2,500 over listing price! Prior to this, they assisted me in moving to my "forever home" this fall. They helped me decide what items I should move and suggested where to place them for maximum impact. They did some painting and made suggestions on the person that laid flooring and engaged the movers being there during the actual move instructing the movers where to place items. The move was flawless and almost painless! After that they went with us to help select several pieces of furniture and were here two months later when it was delivered. I was very impressed with them when customers approached them at the furniture store and asked them questions. Without hesitation they said what they believed. During the last five years and before these experiences, I had them for three consultations in addition to having them stage three "flippers". With the flippers, they looked at them in their original conditions and made suggestions on what to do to enhance their appearance, flow, and value. They always make economical suggestions and I firmly believe they have saved me more money than what their services have cost. They listen and encourage my input. Okay, I was so excited to see, not just vending machines, but a dedicated vending machine room. Anyway, I was able to purchase three bottles of water before moving on to the snack-based machine. I'm gluten free (wheat gives me a stomach ache) so I was really happy to see a Health Bar. Chocolate. Toffee. English? Awesome. I put in my $1.25 (see exhibit 1 photo below for price corroboration) and pressed 5-0. The display (as evidenced in photo 2) demanded an additional $.50. And I was out of change, loose or otherwise. A moment of non-rest. Until I realized I could hit the cancel button, get my change back and use my iPhone -- moments later, snack in hand. Every single detail of this house is beautifully done. Take a step into the turn of the century. How could you not pour yourself a thimble of sherry and sit quietly in the living room just absorbing the wonder, thinking about the intervening 125 years, the lives lived; the joys and sorrows, the losses, the loves. Magical? Indeed. (Feeling peckish? There are probably a few fresh baked goodies in the kitchen.) The feather bed was.....a dream! Lovely soaps and lotions are all here for bathing. Big cozy super fresh towels and best linens. And breakfast. Wow. You won't need lunch. It changed daily. A generous bowl of fresh fruit with yogurt always started it. Then each day was different-a frittata, French toast, pancakes, eggs with sausages or bacon. Yum. I sort of don't want to leave. But. Yeah. Back to life. Back to reality. I love my home but this has been grand.
