Anyway so I get to the counter and see a worker cutting a pizza in the back, I'm thinking score! Fresh breakfast pizza, wrong. She brings out a sausage and pepperoni at 9am. So I ask do you have any breakfast pizza, she says no, I have a sausage and pepperoni, so I ask do you have one coming out soon? This is where it gets good, she gives me a pissed off look, rolls her eyes, and tells me she barely had time to get this one done! (Well maybe you should have barely had time to get a breakfast pizza done ‍) Ok... so I ask do you have anything else breakfast wise? As I'm eyeballing the container of sausage patties right behind her, and I again get an eye roll, and a snarky Nope! Ok so 1. Rude 2. Who the heck makes lunch pizza at 9am? 3. Don't take it out on a customer because you're having a bad day.

Neighborhood Co-Op is one of those places you can become a member at and get discounts and other things. Maybe the prices are kind of high, but there's a lot of harder to find items. There's a lot in here for plant based eating, as well as for those wanting to eat healthier, and local. Came to get a few things while on a visit and got more than expected. It's bigger than it looks. There's a lot of aisles, and has a good amount of baked goods, along with some pretty fresh produce. A lot of natural and organic items. They have a lot of the Applegate Farms products if you want organic meats and sausage. Of course there's plenty of plant based. They have non dairy items like nut milks and yogurts. In the bakery there was vegan zucchini bread. The prices in here are kind of high, but if you become a member you get coupons and specials. Has to be a stop if you're shopping for organics around here. It's located in the Murdale Shopping Center on West Main Street. There's a ton of things for vegans and vegetarians.

Those girls and guys are pretty enthusiastic about working there which is phenomenal, really. However, they have some pit falls. They let their food sit out for too long. In particular, their fresh produce and meats but I've also found molded breads as well. The coolers in the meat and produce sections don't work properly so I would suggest a lesser display time on those products compared to other markets for the owners. Also, attention to those areas and a better attitude towards customers returning the rotten vegetation. Some are easily identified...others are not. "It's the luck of the draw" isn't something I want to hear from my grocers...luckily, I'm well educated in food safety but for someone who isn't, this is quite dangerous.
