I grew up as a kid in sale barns and small hometown diners. This place was everything I needed to bring me home to being 10 years old again. This is a sale barn restaurant, where you walk in and see the farmers and cowboys having lunch together. Talk about cattle, crops and the latest small town gossip. Or enjoy a quick delicious meal before heading back to work. Now the food. Where can you go anymore to get a good hamburger or a delicious giant plate sized pork tenderloin and fries/ tots for two for $25. Small town America! The cheese burger was juicy and perfectly cooked. I opted for tots instead of the traditional fries. Perfect. Flash fried, crispy, a little soft in the middle and a dash of salt. The menus was all the "basic" delicious must haves. We loved this restaurant! It was the perfect stop, on a quick round trip journey! Definitely need to stop in!

I got the 1/2 order of biscuits and gravy meal with a side of hashbrowns and your choice of meat. The bacon was thick cut and so fresh! The hashbrowns were on the peppery side and not as crispy, but were still full of flavor. My friends loved their coffee, pancakes, and fully loaded hashbrowns (with onions, peppers, cheese, bacon, etc.) Highly recommend!

Ordered an appetizer of fried mushrooms. 35 minutes later they arrived. After taking a bite of the first one it was frozen still in the center. Upon notiying the waitress she took them back to the kitchen. 10 minutes later they arrived heated through the entire mushroom and edible. I had ordered the country fried steak, mashed potatoes, corn and white gravy. It arrived at the 50 minute mark. The mashed potatoes, gravy and corn were okay. The fried steak tasted like the meat was spoiled. I don't know if it was or not but I was not waiting another fifty minutes for a new one. I asked for the check after eating 2 bites of the steak and was told by t h e waitress I would receive it at the register. She told me my total and I paid it never seeing the bill . After putting it on my card, only then did I receive a printed bill. I most definitely would pass by this restaurant and never eat rhere.

I got the hand breaded country fried steak. It came with 2 sides and was only $10. My friends got the chicken tenders (they were huge), and an open faced roast beef sandwich (also a huge portion). The beers are great--especially the IPAs, wheats and stouts. The food is very good as well--my favorite is the jalapeño Mac and cheese bite appetizer but the burgers, salads and pizza are also good. I like to sit at the bar and the bartender that is there most of the time is awesome--so helpful, friendly and efficient. However, the service yesterday was very lacking. We counted 11 staff members just standing around and talking to each other while totally ignoring us. Three were at the end of the bar and we sat there for about 5-10 minutes before the bartender came out from the kitchen and gave us a menu. We were the only ones sitting at the bar and it would have been nice if one of those three employees had told us that the bartender would be coming out soon or at least give us a menu. The bartender was very good though--quite friendly and helpful--she gave us several samples of beer and food recommendations. We ordered the bites and a mushroom Swiss burger which came out exceedingly fast and both were very good. We had several Giddy Goats which were super tasty and cold...my boyfriend isn't a huge fan of stouts but he loved this one! We checked out the store on our way out and my boyfriend decided to buy a six-pack to go. He went back to the bar, holding his wallet out to pay but all the employees just ignored him for several minutes so he got tired of waiting and left without buying it. We don't understand why there were so many employees milling around doing nothing and ignoring patrons? Are the employees not taught to cover various tasks? Even so, they should be aware of the customers' needs and find the employee responsible for that task. I could understand if it was super busy but it was a Sunday afternoon and the place was nearly empty . I love this place and will continue to be a regular customer but hope for much better service next time!

The service was very good. A friend and I shared some tacos and an order of wings (which were tastier than the tacos). Makes for a nice stop before heading away from the interstate where restaurants are fewer and farther between. Reasonably priced.
