Quoted same project as Swartz for about 2/3 the price. And the electrician had a great beard.

I rarely write reviews, but my experience with Mister Sparky has been awful. They have been working…read moreon my panel upgrade for 3 months, and every time I call, they act like it's the first they're hearing of the issues. Not only was the water bond attached to my house in the most horrible way, the new panel was not only wired wrong, they had it labeled wrong as well. I had so many problems from start to finish. All of the issues we ran into could have been solved, had they just talked to me. The manager Andres seemed more interested in making excuses and blaming the people who work for him, saying they were incompetent. He also promised to come and make sure everything was done correctly and didn't show up. His own master electrician said, "Yeah, he always says that he will come and never shows up..." The billing is also confusing and inconsistent. I was charged extra with no clear explanation, and when I asked for clarification, they just say they will have to call me back, or someone else will have to look at it. Andres, told me I would have to pay 50 percent up front, so I did that. The invoice they sent my email did not reflect that. I called and asked about it and they didn't have an answer. Then they attempted to charge me 170 a piece for smoke detectors that cost 169.99 for 5. For the amount I'm paying, the service should be far more reliable. I also had to listen to Andres tell me about how he terminated the people who worked for him. At this point, I am not interested in his business infrastructure. I just want my electrical panel to work and to never have to deal with this company again. Andres was also incredibly rude to the inspector who came to check everything. Not only did he fail the inspection, the inspector stood up for us and told Andres to make the issues right. Andres was incredibly unprofessional and I am told this is not the first time. Others who have worked with him say the same thing. I thought I was getting a great deal. When he came for the estimate Andres seemed very honest and kind. He did what he called a temporary fix in my panel...Only later to find out that the fix Andres did was illegal and dangerous. He also pulled my outlet out in my kitchen and left it out and said "Just don't get it wet.." Another company told me how awful this company is, how unhappy customers are and that they often have to go and fix their mess. I defended Mister Sparky and told the guy trash trying to warn me that I trusted this company. I wish I believed the other guy. Everything he said was true. I wish I paid the extra 3k that other company was charging. You truly get what you pay for. Almost 6k and 3 months later and this was absolutely the worst experience I have had with any company. If you have another option in your area, I highly recommend going with them instead. Mister Sparky needs serious improvement in reliability, transparency, and customer care.

Swartz Electric - Jack & Anthony did a great job!

Swartz Electric is the best of the best. Their customer service was on it from day one, they have…read morebeen in constant communication and set great expectations via email, phone calls and text. They quoted me for running dedicated lines from my panel to the bar, wired my wine chiller and refrigerators, put dimmers on the cans and pendant lights and fixed my mistakes I made with the bathroom lighting. Needless to say, mine was a pretty big job that they knocked out in a day and a half. All technicians were friendly and professional. They showed up on time and worked quickly. Great attention to detail. They might be a bit more than some, but for the scope of work they were very reasonable. You definitely won't be sorry you paid the money. I highly recommend Jairo Villalobos and his team (Briana, Bruce, and "Jaco"). Swartz Electric has my vote for the best electricians and service in Colorado Springs and possibly all of CO. Once the bar is completely done I'll post the pictures to show off the incredible job they did!

I do not recommend this company. It was acquired in November 2025. Disregard any great reviews…read moreprior to that date--it's a fundamentally different business now. Summary: Electrician was here less than an hour, flipped some switches in my electrical box, and charged me ~$400. I had used this company prior to the acquisition/merger, and they were phenomenal. I thought I'd found my "no-brainer"--any time I needed electrical work done, I'd go to Swartz. Based on my recent experience, I would never do business with them again. Post-acquisition, there is a ~$58-$68 fee that is simply a dispatch charge to get an electrician to your door and does not include any actual work or troubleshooting. That fee itself is reasonable. What followed was not. A simple electrical issue was escalated into an unnecessary "advanced diagnostic" costing $381 (also new as of the acquisition), only for the electrician to eventually discover that the problem was just partially tripped breakers that needed to be fully reset. That is the most basic troubleshooting step and should have been done immediately. There is no safety rule, code requirement, or licensing restriction that prevents an electrician from resetting a breaker during an initial assessment. An electrician might reasonably pause only if there is evidence of burn marks, overheating, a breaker that immediately re-trips, water intrusion, known damaged wiring, or commercial lockout-tagout requirements. None of those conditions applied here. Any suggestion otherwise reflects company policy or sales process--not an industry standard. Instead of resolving the issue upfront, I was pushed toward advanced diagnostics and then told the $381 diagnostic fee could be waived if I agreed to replace three plug-in breaker components for approximately $1,200. The components were on the older side, but still functional. They will one day die, and when they do, it will not be Swartz Electric replacing them. This experience felt like a textbook upsell rather than competent, methodical troubleshooting. Nothing about this situation justified advanced diagnostics or costly replacements. The issue required no parts, no special tools, and no advanced expertise. Given how different the experience was before the acquisition, I strongly suspect many of the positive reviews reflect the company as it used to operate, not how it does now. Proceed with extreme caution.

After the last hard freeze, we returned to our home to find our basement flooded…read more We called several services but none had a plumber to send until the next day. Howeve, WireNut did. Nick and Chris came out much quicker than expecte, located and repaired the issue in a short time. In addition, they pointed us to a restoration company to help with the cleanup (lots of mud and other stuff), haul away all of the damaged items from the flood, etc. Totally satisfied with the level of service we received on short notice, on a very busy day.

This is very important to me because, it shows me that he cares about the work he does. I liked his honesty and the fact that he was willing to ask for advice from another co-worker in front of me and explained why he was asking for help/advice. On a lighter note, Kamal gave me some suggestions on to how to deal with the next-door neighbor's dogs barking. What is cool about this, is the fact that he took the time to share this with me. Having dogs himself, he knew exactly what I needed to do. He didn't have to do this, but he did and this is why I like WireNut employees, they are real. On 12 May 2026, Marc Kennedy, did a follow up inspection on our annual A/C inspection done on that previous Saturday, 9 May 2026, at the request of his co-worker. Frist of all, this shows teamwork by WireNut employees, which I value a lot. Marc took his time and explained everything that he was doing. Marc being a Marine Veteran I wasn't surprised with his work ethic. By the way I told him I would mention that he was a Marine Veteran. Being a veteran myself it was great having a fellow veteran inspecting our A/C unit.
