Since the second consisted of a prescribed full body skin exam I was very apprehensive. However Doctor Laungani is a medical professional with emphasis on being very professional. By the time the exam was over I was more relaxed. The whole staff is caring and involved in patient comfort. If the treatment for some spots of concern clear up I do not have to go back for six months.

I received medication for severe acne from this dermatology clinic, and I had pus and blood oozing for about a week on injection spot. When I inquired about it due to diarrhea and my skin peeling from the prescribed topical and oral medication they gave me before, they told me to stop taking it, and that issue was resolved. However, the skin where I received the injection became hardened and it feels like something is festering inside, and it's not getting better over time. So, I inquired about what medication they used because I wanted to go to another hospital, and they said they have no records of it. When someone else called again, I asked if they either didn't have a record of injections or didn't know the medication's name. When I asked about it, they told me someone else would call again, and they just hung up. And when they didn't call me back by the agreed-upon date, I called covington branch again day after, and they told me to contact the main branch? Waiting forever~

We are extremely disappointed with our recent experience at Georgia Dermatology in Conyers…read more My husband self-paid for his appointment three weeks ago and requested a medication that had previously worked well for him. Instead, he was advised to try a "better option." He trusted the recommendation, but unfortunately the medication did not work. We called the office to request a refill of the original medication and were specifically told over the phone that the he must attend a recheck/ follow-up appointment. It would be necessary and that there would be no additional charge. All we wanted was for the original medication to simply be refilled and sent to the pharmacy. After taking time out of our day and showing up for the appointment, he was then told at check-in that he would have to pay again. The issue is not just the money, it's the lack of communication, patient care, and respect for people's time. Had we been told upfront there would be another charge, we could have made an informed decision before rearranging schedules and returning to the office. As patients, we expect transparency, consistency, and basic decency in communication. This experience left us frustrated and concerned about how patients are being handled.

I arrived a few minutes prior to my appointment time and was immediately greeted and provided the paperwork that I was unable to complete online. Before I was able to finish, they were ready for me and immediately took me back to the exam room. The MA (I forgot her name), was rather reserved, but she was very thorough in all of the questions that she asked me. Once she was done, my wait time to actually see/speak with PA-C Smith, was minimal. She was very warm, engaging, empathetic (when needed), and her all around knowledge put me at ease. Her engagement with me was tons better than the last Dermatologist I interacted with, and for that I am grateful. I'm thankful that I've found a derm who seems to understand my issues/concerns and is excited about helping me create a 'plan of attack' so I can finally have these issues resolved.
