Chris and Michelle provided their services to my wife and I for our first home purchase. We didn't know what to expect and their kind, informative and educational approach to providing home inspections was more than we could have asked for. Chris is incredibly knowledgeable and supportive. He helped us understand the pluses and minuses and educated us on how to fix problem areas in a thoughtful and clear way. They spent several hours before our arrival going over every detail of the house that they could evaluate. Once we arrived they took diligent time in going over the entire house. Chris would lead and Michelle made sure that he didn't miss anything from the notes they took when they went through the house. After the walk through they kindly answered any additional questions that we had and went over the products and services we would need to fix items that they identified. I had previously thought a home inspection would be a negative experience and just one of those things you had to do. To my surprise they helped us get intimately aware of our house and feel confident in what we needed to do. We got 24 hours later a 50 page report about our house going over everything they found and shared while with us. It included numerous pictures well documented with the arrows showing the specific areas of concerns or just points of interest to consider. They have continued to be supportive of any additional questions we have had even after the home inspection and remain available for further support if needed. Our realtor who gave us a list of inspectors in our area informed that they are a little higher pricier than a typical inspector but offered a great deal of value. After having the experience and working with them, I truly believe for what you get out of it, they undercharge. We are moving into Rapid City and were recommended to utilize Foundations Home Inspection. It was the best advice I have ever had. Michelle and Chris arrived and inspected the home and an hour and a half later completed a walk-through with us. The information delivered was clear, concise and easily understood. The inspection was extremely through and the results insightful. Issues unique to the RC area were discussed with us and solutions recommended. The report provided was clear and very understandable. Many, many photos were included, and loaded onto a disc which was presented at the conclusion of the walk-through. The report also discussed in clear terms what repairs were indicated [thankfully very few and minor at that]. The report also offers maintenance tips and a list of businesses was included. My husband and I are in the process of purchasing our first home and had the good luck of finding Foundation's Home Inspection. Christopher and Michelle arrived an hour and a half before we did. When we arrived they were ready to go through the house room by room with us. They gave us their undivided attention and answered all of our questions in a way that was easy for us to understand. From first contact through final contact I was impressed with their thoroughness, professionalism and friendliness. We wanted the best possible company to inspect the home we are considering buying. This is probably the last home we will purchase and it was important that we went in with eyes wide open. Foundations Home Inspection could not possibly have done a more thorough job. They spent hours inspecting everything inside and outside, taking pictures and notes. They called us when they were finished and we were taken on a very detailed tour of each and every item they found, good and bad. We had never had such a thorough home inspection. It was very detailed and full of pictures. Michelle and Christopher went over it with us and spent a lot of time explaining their findings.
