I've suffered from MS like symptoms, endometriosis, and overall hormonal issues that have affected my life big time. Wound up in the ER from stroke like symptoms a couple years ago and was laughed out bc I'm only 30yo. I've seen a handful of naturopaths, and although they are much more diligent than typical Drs, I was still struggling. As last resort I went to a local acupuncturist who began to change my life. Only issue was he couldn't run tests and I still had no real answers, but he made me a believer in Eastern medicine. That's when I found Dr. Weber. I have given it a good 6 mo to see results and let me tell you, this man is giving me my life back! The doctor spends ALOT of time addressing the needs of each patient. We have never had extremely caring and through service like this and by we I mean my family. We have had one urgent visit and they squeezed us in. Dr. Eily is extremely caring, wants to get to the root of the problem, and so kid friendly (my son turned the exam room into a rocket ship and she played along while examining). This is not your traditional cookie cutter office. There are some quirks but I'll take it. Us holistic folks are quirky in our own way. For reports or referrals we (patients) need to do just a little work or lets call it team work with the office. They upload the referral/ lap report to the patient portal, you print it and take it to the doctors office or you can download it and send it to the office via email. We haven't had an issue. If your going to LabCorp bring the physical order and YOU choose online what location best suits you.

Every time I brought up an issue I was having, the answer was always to add another supplement to my already huge arsenal. I actually think the amount of supplements I was taking was actually taxing my body and my digestive system further. I also didn't like that the first time I emailed her, I got a message back saying she might charge me to respond to that email and any future emails. I understand her time is limited, but possibly getting charged for emailing a question was a deterrent for me in asking questions and seems a bit unethical. My biggest complaint, however, was her demeanor. I found her attitude to be rude, condescending, and arrogant. Eye-rolling during an in person appointment once. The worst was the time I was having a phone consult with her and she went over this long list of treatments she wanted me to start, and at the end, I asked, just to make sure, if all of them were ok for me to take while breastfeeding. Apparently, she either forgot (even though we discussed it at my initial intake) or neglected to check her notes before writing her recommendations. She reacted by getting flustered first, then actually said to me, "Well I guess you could have stopped breastfeeding by now" as if that was an excuse! And it's not like she even asked if I was still nursing! If I hadn't asked, I might have paid for and started taking things unsafe for my baby. I was horrified. If I hadn't been so desperate for help, I would have definitely stopped seeing her right after that. Another time, she refused to give me lab results until I scheduled an appointment with her. She also asked me once to get lab tests that I had already paid for and done, and we had even emailed about it. Again, just not checking her notes in advance. I dreaded my appointments with her, she gave me anxiety to be around because of her aggressive nature, and I got the feeling she was mostly concerned with making money and not taking care of her patients. I never got the impression she really cared. No bedside manner whatsoever. She has since moved out of Raleigh to join another practice and the only communication about the move was via several long, convoluted, poorly written emails. I was surprised at the level and style of communication from someone who has so many advanced degrees. She never mentioned the move to me in person. I just thought it was odd. It came across like she couldn't wait to get out of NC. I'm so glad I made the decision to stop seeing her and wasting my time and money. I have had much better, long-lasting, less expensive success with acupuncture and Chinese herbs.

I realized after some trial and error with diet and exercise and A LOT of frustration, that I needed help. After a suggestion from a good friend who had experience with Dr. Way, I decided to do a consultation. I was impressed with Dr. Way's knowledge and warmth. Dr. Way is also very thorough and definitely tailors the treatment protocol to my specific needs. This is what impresses me the most. This is NOT one-size-fits-all medicine, it is something much more thorough, considerate and ultimately, effective!! Yes, you will have to cut back and give up some things for awhile-- for instance, the detox we did had me off coffee, sugar, etc... for a set amount of time. Dr. Way structured the detox to gently ease me in so I did not feel deprived or restricted. I was also NOT HUNGRY AT ALL!! This was the most important piece for me. If I feel hungry or deprived, I will give up a nutrition program in a heartbeat. It's very relaxing, but I don't see any results or feel any different. I might have lost a few millimeters. I kept my clothes on. They wrapped me in a blanket and turned the heat up to ~130 degrees, but I wasn't hot! The treatment lasts an hour and they checked on me every 10 minutes or so to make sure I was okay, and they GAVE me a bottle of water to drink afterwards to rehydrate. They are very big on rehydrating! Most spas don't GIVE anything away, including water. This impressed me. The staff is awesome -- very attentive and caring. I dealt with Tassie, the owner, and Tanita, her daughter. They're so nice! I felt that I was among friends. Restorations offers other spa-type services, too. During the FIR you can get a facial and an herbal wrap for a small extra charge, which I plan to do. The herbal wrap is supposed to purge toxins and the facial is just pure pampering!
