This is not an easy thing to do and Gabriel and Loomis gave us the best possible experience. When you find yourself in need of cremation services, I would highly recommend Loomis Family…read more My husband was in hospice and passed away from COVID over in The Villages. The social worker gave me a list of funeral service vendors in that area. I called around and the prices and approaches were all over the place. A high quote with a discount for being in hospice? Ugh. I looked on Yelp and saw a recommendation by a friend that she thought Loomis was a professional and thoughtful organization. I could not have asked for better service and fee prices. - They were helpful and explained their fee and costs for death certificates over the phone. When my husband later died in the middle of the night, they responded quickly - Cremation fees were much less than those quoted by others on the list furnished by hospice. - They did not try to up sell, they even suggested I might want to complete the request via the web and conveniently pay at the same time if I did not feel like driving over there. - I am having a funeral service in another state. They were so kind and respectful on the phone and in person. - They provided the paperwork and documents I will need to have my husband interred in another state. - They had a catalog of urns and the prices were very reasonable and I know this as I had shopped around. Their location in Apopka seems small but most of the staff I spoke to were young and caring. In a time when I was stressed this was the easiest decision.

Several months ago I came and fulfilled his request. The people at Newcomer were very helpful and professional. I cannot day enough kind words about this man. From planning the viewing, transporting to St. James Cathedral and then to Greenwood Cemetery. He knew exactly what to do and when. Matt Pierson is a godsend and provided a wonderful service at the Church in Astatula. I would not hesitate in an instant to recommend this funeral home. Matt and John were compassionate and understanding in our time of need. The services weren't as expensive as I thought they would be. For those of you on the fence about pre planning get off the fence!!! Go in and visit them and make arrangements. It will take an incredible burden off the family in doing what you wish for your final arrangements. I always thought it was taboo and something a bit odd since I used to sell pre arranged funeral planning. Now after having to deal with the costs and the sudden death of my mother I can see the reasoning behind planning ahead. Matt and the team at Steverson Hamlin and Hilbish were top notch......

My aunt is buried at Osceola Memory Gardens and the way they treat people now is a joke. My dad went to the St. Cloud office for help finding her plot and nobody there even spoke Spanish to help him. Then, I went to the cemetery myself and found out my aunt's vase and flowers were STOLEN. Nobody called us, nobody cared. I waited over 30 minutes to see a manager while employees just walked past me like I was invisible. When a manager finally came out, he was so condescending. He assumed I didn't speak English and started talking to me in really bad, broken Spanish--it felt like he was mocking me. Even the groundskeepers told me that the new management is terrible and the property is falling apart. We paid a ton of money for "perpetual care," but that's a lie because they don't care at all. I'm telling my whole church and everyone I work with to stay away from this place. They take your money and then treat you like garbage.
