From the second I crossed the threshold, an employee was 5 inches from my face offering me a tour (you can see what they sell clearly from the doorway and it is one open space), and then she never left my side. She literally picked up and read greeting cards to me that I had shown zero interest in and without me indicating I wanted a card. She pointed to every single item and told me what it was as if I might have never seen a t-shirt before. No matter where I moved, she followed as if connected to a magnet, and she talked so much I'm not sure how she managed to also breathe. When my husband came in a short while later, I tried to communicate with my eyes that he needed to leave, but another person was 5 inches from him before he understood. She followed the exact same approach and script my leech, I mean salesperson, followed. We'd catch each other's eye and laugh and try to move away from our captors, but they were oblivious and stuck to us like glue. I guess their approach works as we each bought an item just to be able to move and to put a sales desk between us and the people breathing down our backs. Also, the selection is comically bad and limited. The store logo and name is on almost every single item they sell even if a logo makes no sense on it; and the logo is not all that unique or attractive - it is extremely literal. Do you need an entire wardrobe of solid, Crayola-crayon rainbow colored pieces with the store logo on it? They have 30+ identical clothing items in the same 8 garish colors with the store logo HUGE on it at least once. It is like being in a warehouse for kids' sports league uniforms. Maybe your LGBTQ family needs to all match at Disney? If you don't need clothes, you could also get "homemade" cards that look like the creator just learned basic photoshop using free stock photos, has a few favorite fonts and access to AI for weird text. If none of those things interest you, there are overpriced, poor quality socks and identical journals in every color of the rainbow with the store logo on them. Also, randomly, there are shot glasses, with the store logo on them. There are a few rainbow pet toys too and pride parade accessories. Needless to say, I will not be back.

Between the phenomenal liquor selection, full pharmacy services, and the hidden Fountain lunch counter in the back, it is the ultimate one stop shop. This is my absolute go to liquor store in Maryland. It is a true bourbon destination that has rightfully been featured on several bourbon YouTube channels. They are known for their excellent selection of whiskey, consistently landing rare allocations while maintaining some of the best pricing in the area. I make it a point to stop by every single week because their inventory is always changing and you never know what you might find on the shelves. They also run a very generous rewards program. It allows you to bank your points over time so you can eventually use them to purchase high end, rare bottles at MSRP dealer prices, which is a massive perk for enthusiasts. Outside of the liquor store portion, the rest of the business is great too. The pharmacy side is fully stocked with unique Maryland specific items, and they have a highly capable, helpful staff behind the pharmacy counter. As I have written in my review of their hidden speakeasy style lunch counter in the back, The Fountain, it is an absolute gem for lunch, a bourbon bar, and an ice cream destination. If you want to experience a truly unique and perfect one stop shop, this place is it.

We came for the liquor store, but stayed for lunch at their soda fountain/lunch counter in the back of the store. They have a good selection of whiskey with very good prices. There was minimal price markup between Drug City and if we were to buy direct from a NYC distillery we really like. I really enjoyed my chicken dumpling daily soup special at the soda fountain, but the star of the show was my chocolate peanut butter milkshake. The food in there is simple lunch fare but you cannot beat the prices. they have a long list of seasonings you can add to your potato chips that I want to come back and try more of. Note that purchases from anywhere in the store (not just the liquor section) count towards their rewards program.

Back at the Market again and trying another business! This time, I decided to check out BMore…read moreTwist. I love a fresh-baked soft pretzel, so I was excited to give this place a try. I'm a big fan of cinnamon raisin pretzels and was happy to see that theirs didn't come with extra cinnamon sugar on top. They do offer a separate cinnamon sugar pretzel for those who prefer that. The glaze on the cinnamon raisin pretzel was perfect for me. My husband tried the pecan caramel pretzel as well as an original, with a large orangeade. What I appreciated most about the cinnamon raisin pretzel was its freshness and the fact that it wasn't overly sweet. The original pretzel had just the right amount of salt, which was great. We didn't care for the pecan caramel pretzel much. The pecans were a bit too toasted and it lacked caramel. The orangeade was delicious! I'll definitely be returning because the service was great and the quality of the pretzels really stands out. The all-beef pretzel dog is next on my list!
