On the day of, she and her husband did an amazing job blending in with the crowd. The proposal went off without a hitch, even with a bit of rain that delayed the moment just a bit. She worked with us for the next hour to get some amazing shots as the sun started to break through the clouds. It really made that day feel that much more special. At the end of the day, she shared the highlight photos which came out great! It was nice to be able to relive the moment since the actual event was such a blur. A few days later, we also received all of the photos she had taken. It was such a smooth experience and the photos turned out wonderful. If you're on the fence, don't be discouraged by the few reviews on Yelp. MacKenzie was wonderful and is highly recommended.

I wholeheartedly recommend her as someone to work with for capturing important life events. I was proposing in Central Coast CA on a vacation, and didn't know the area well. I had found a winery that I thought looked good, and used Yelp to connect me with a few photographers. I knew right away that I wanted to work with Jana - she was *by far* the most thoughtful, responsive, and creative photographer I was put in touch with. Jana went above and beyond in the days before the proposal, coming up with a fantastic game plan (complete with time stamps for where to be when!) to both create a special moment and keep it a surprise right up until the proposal - exactly the organization I needed. Moreover, she called the winery in advance and arranged for a bottle of champagne on ice at the proposal location, for my fiancé and I to enjoy afterwards. On the day of, Jana arrived early to the winery to identify a location amongst the vines that was both secluded and beautiful, and coordinated with staff on-site to ensure everything went off without a hitch. The photos themselves were fantastic. She beautifully captured our happiness and excitement in the moment, with amazing lighting and scenery to boot. Afterwards, we took many other photos (Jana had great ideas for poses!) and walked to a couple other locations at the winery to capture more shots of the special occasion. And, she turned them around and shared the photos with us in barely 24 hours, allowing us to smile and re-live the moment over and over again in the days following the proposal. A proposal is a once-in-a-lifetime moment, and this one would have never gone off as well as it did without Jana's photographic talent, creativity in planning, and organization. I'm incredibly grateful to have worked with her, and would recommend her to anyone with an upcoming special occasion that needs a top-notch photographer! Thank you again, Jana!

Her approach to getting to know her clients first and then choosing the perfect location made such a big difference. The photos she created of my son are absolutely beautiful, and we are both so proud of them. Amy offers several packages at different price points, and she was incredibly respectful of my budget, which was on the lower side. Even though I could have found a cheaper photographer, I'm so glad I chose Amy. The package I picked was high quality and still very affordable, and I never once felt pressured to go beyond what I told her I could spend. My son chose to have his photos taken at the beach, and Amy picked the perfect spot. She paid attention to things I never would have even thought about--weather, tides, sunset timing--and it made all the difference. She also included a family photo, which meant a lot because my son and I had never had professional pictures taken together before. In the end, I spent a little more than I originally planned, but it was entirely my choice, and I always felt respected and supported. Amy's professionalism, creativity, and kindness really show in her work. I highly recommend Amy Marlan Photography for senior pictures!

Our celebration was a relatively loosely planned event, without the typical structure of a formal wedding. Becky did a fantastic job of going with the flow, and still capturing the specific moments we had originally asked for. Everybody loved spending time with Becky, and getting those pesky family portraits was a breeze with her gentle (but firm!) nature. Because it was an outdoor event, Becky had to work with the elements, but you'd never know it! We love the final images - Becky was able to see so many small, sweet moments that would have otherwise been missed. She perfectly balanced candids of folks hanging out and relaxing, with the few 'events' of the day, the locale, the food, and the decorations. The images were delivered quite quickly, and Becky helped make that process super simple. Thank you, thank you to Becky for the images of a lifetime!
