Centrally located, they do good quality 35mm film development for an excellent price. I bought a new camera just before my trip to Prague and needed a place to quickly develop a test roll. Their regular turnaround time is 24 hours and you can typically pick it up anyways the next day even if it hasn't been the full 24 hours. I also got 4x6 matte prints. This fit my needs exactly, and the photos turned out beautifully. I wish I could get all my film developed here! Pro tip: if you want to make the most of your trip to Mustek, stop by Style&Interier or Cukrarna Mysak just next door. Great vibes and great desserts at both spots. read more

This place saved my butt! I accidentally broke my external battery charger on our last day in Rome for my Canon G7X which we use for vlogging! Knowing I was flying to Prague the next day, I was desperately looking online to see if I could order one to have it shipped to me in Prague without any success. So as soon as we landed in Prague, we asked the staff at our hostel for any advice and they directed us HERE! The shop is located in the city center and pretty easy to find. It's mult level and looks to have just about anything your photography heart desires! Luckily, some (not all) of the employees here speak English but they were able to help us. I was so relieved that they had the exact charger I needed and saved the rest of our Europe trip! read more

History

Established in 1991.

Firma Fototechnika a video - MilanŠkoda byla založena v roce 1991 v pronajatých prostorách bývalého státního podniku Drobné zboží Praha v Jindřišské ulici, tehdy ještě se šesti zaměstnanci. Na jaře roku 1992 se začali vytvářet základy firmy v prostorách paláce Lucerna, která se postupně rozšiřovala o fotoslužby a šířkou nabízeného sortimentu fotografického zboží. V roce 1998 to byl již obchod na ploše 420 m2 s 50ti zaměstnanci. Prodejna tak začala naplňovat původní představy o profesionálních a komplexních fotografických službách " pod jednou střechou". S růstem objemu prodávaného zboží, zvyšujícími se nároky a požadavky zákazníků na šíři poskytovaných služeb začal být i tento prostor nevyhovující. V roce 2002 se firma přestěhovat se do nových prostor nově zrekonstruovaného Paláce Langhans a začala používat názvem Centrum FotoŠkoda. Spojením obchodu, služeb a kultury dohromady vytváří pravděpodobně největší a nejkrásnější fotografické centrum v celé Evropě.

I had planned to get some film developed here and stopped by for the first time. The customer service was not only bad; it was somehow both nonexistent as well as downright rude. Czechs aren't known for great or even good customer service, but this was a whole other level. As soon as I walked in, the shop owner greeted me in Czech and I proceeded to reply in Czech (even though I'm not Czech). There were two other girls in the shop and they all stopped, looked at me and laughed, presumably mocking my accent. Then, not another word from the man working there. No "How can I help you?" or "I'll be with you in a second". Nothing. Instead, he carried on a conversation with the two girls that didn't seem to be business related at all. I wandered to the back, where the main desk was located, for a bit and waited to be helped. A few minutes passed and he didn't even bother to turn around or acknowledge me. Impatient and annoyed, I decided to leave and get my film developed elsewhere. His loss. The owner / manager / employees of this place should seriously go back to school and learn how to run a small business properly, or at the very least how to give some semblance of proper customer service.
