A Neighborhood paper that serves communities for over the past 75 years that has seen better days…read more The paper has been on a steady decline for years now. It was pages full of the latest happens of local residents. Full of ads of neighborhood businesses pushing their goods. It now only has 4 pages (1 sheet folded) total and a few columns of classifieds. Most of the articles are not even neighborhood based anymore. Sure there are some pictures of local high school graduates and all but when your obituaries are bigger then your classified sections its a sign your readership is pretty much gone. I can't remember the last time it had anything of interest.

I enjoy this paper very much. It prints local news that the big papers do not. The Sun-Times and…read moreTribune cover all the crime and national tragedies and world events but very, very few local human interest events. This paper covers these local human interest stories. I have been reading it and contributing articles for 60 years.
