I think Chicago Parent does a really nice job of providing helpful, timely, unique, and interesting…read morestories. I'm not as big of a fan of some of the monthly columns, but I think the feature stories are well-written and highlight so many interesting families in the Chicago areas. I also look forward to the Special Parent editions, for parents of children with special needs. When my children were younger, I'd read Chicago Parent cover to cover every month. It does appeal more to parents of younger kids. I'd love to see stories of older children, even older teens. The photography in the magazine is very nice. And it's a free monthly!! The website is nice, too. I always check out the contests & give-away section. I've won some things, like free tickets.

This review is LONGGGGGGGGGGGG OVERDUE!!!!!!!!... My wife and I got married 11/4/2011. We heard…read moreabout PSAV through Vasso Powers at Intercontinental O'Hare. After seeing the wonderful shots and set-ups we were sold. The initial consultation took place at the menu tasting (if I remember correctly). We met with Andrew Cortina and he gave us a show first hand within the space itself. He walked us through various styles, colors and options. He even helped us design the Gobo (it's a fancy initialing of our names) which were back-lit to shine on the middle of the dance floor. Lighting always sets the mood for any event and they certainly did the job with FLYING COLORS!!!!... Again, VERY easy to work with, VERY affordable and worked VERY fast and professional!. All A++++++. My wife and I have said numerous times, that if we had to do all over again (we HOPE only once) but IF we did, we would go NO OTHER place but PSAV!!.. Thank you guys again for making our special day that much more special and unique. Mr and Mrs. A.

I was going to order the cake at a local fave "Weber's" when I drove past the City Newshound. I thought it " Great I can kill 2 birds with one stone!" Get a cake and get the ad. From the moment I walked into this newspaper - I felt like a family. The team took the time to help me find the perfect picture and wording for the birthday ad. The ad ended up being a big hit with my sister ! She has it framed on her desk!! But since then I have recommended this paper to my business clients- who are looking for a boost in their customer traffic ( especially in these hard times) or who want more of a personal touch to their marketing creations. Every occasion I print an ad to celebrate a child's birthday, an wedding etc- and every time I have gone and will go to this local Chicago paper - the City Newshound.
