Terrific business. I…read morewas having a fungal problem with a couple of my trees (anthracnose). The trees were losing leaves as early as late June, early July. I went to a couple or arborists and had varying degrees of responsiveness and price quotes. Folks from White Horse Lawn & Tree came out and were both highly responsive, extremely helpful, and awfully nice. They offered multiple applications of fungicide, at a very reasonable price. The results of their work were visible all of last Summer and I'm rebooking their services this year too. I highly recommend them. They're a great local business !

After several false starts with companies that did not follow through, we found The Gardeners…read more Their reviews on Yelp were and are consistently complimentary. Matt had wonderful ideas and spiffed up our parking area, and front formerly wooded area. Many trees had been removed to enable us to have effective solar panels, and the grass and mulched areas were eyesores. His crew also weeded our back patio, hill, added more stone to a side area, and mulched around the whole house. I was not expecting this. Having been away when the final work was completed, I was blown away coming home to a newly landscaped acre and more. Additionally the price was more than fair, and everyone whom I met who worked on the project was friendly and invested in their work. We hope to use them often.

Duxbury Gardeners is the construction equivalent of a puppy mill. Good looking at first blush, but…read morefull of terminal problems. The list of failures would cause a doctor to lose their license, but fortunately for Duxbury Gardeners there is no meaningful licensure in Massachusetts. Less than a year in, the stonework separated from spa, a retaining wall failed, 10 plantings died and that was AFTER the construction woes of COLLAPSING the pool company's plumbing, cutting marked underground cables, the fire pit had to be replaced (twice - "it was a known defect", why put in something that is known to be defective???) and most notably running over the septic system line despite having been informed on location (and obviously having plans) - even after being told "you know - that's not a good idea" they asked my wife anticipating that somehow women aren't intelligent. Jason is a nice guy and good crayon drawer but this company is a pure nightmare. Hard to admit making a mistake that cost this amount of money, but hopefully it saves someone else some a bigger headache. This company will leave you with a lot more to clean up than just the cigarette butts they toss on your lawn.

I was disappointed with the service I received from Harmon and Sons…read more I asked them to replace some dying shrubs and detach the lawn. The shrub work went well but the detaching job was not complete. Most of my lawn is still sporting the thatch and moss I had asked them to remove. When we discussed the quality of the detach work, the there was no offer to complete the work to my satisfaction, just excuses about the thickness of the moss/thatch. When I bid out work, I am careful to price appropriately and finish the job to my client's satisfaction. I don't think that either of those tenets were followed by Harmon and Sons. I was offered a discount on the price which I took as a quick way out, but to me, the money I gave them was wasted because I still need to pay someone else to have the work done. Overall, communications were weak once we came to agreement on scope of work and price with workers showing up without any notice. I expected more from Harmon and Sons given their reputation and recommendations from others.

The other issue was that these branches extended over the electrical lines coming from the street. I saw them recommended on some local FB forums when people asked about tree removal, so I decided to reach out to Cled's via the free estimate feature on their website https://www.cledtree.com/ I received a response quickly and had Cled come out and give an estimate. The price was reasonable, so I said let's do it. The office called a day or so later to get me on the schedule. They were booking about 2 weeks out and I got on the schedule. Got a call a day or so before confirming and saying they would be there about 9:00a. Day off I heard the trucks arrive at 8:50a and they got started right at 9:00a. I walked out and asked if they could trim back a few other trees right to the property line and they agreed for a small fee. Everything went smooth and things look good. Only issue is that I have some tire tracks from the bucket truck in my front yard. Cled also sent a stump grinder to take care of the stump a few days later. Good price, reliable, insured, clean work. What more can you ask! I would use them again.

Even though the area they had to work with was relatively small and close to our home, they were able to maneuver their huge truck (crane) and other vehicles/equipment with ease. Working around such things as a lamp post, fruit trees, a vehicle, and a fence, not to mention power lines etc, their experience and expertise was evident. Starting with protecting our driveway from the truck anchors all the way to cleaning debris from the driveway and street afterward, their work was swift and professional. Highly recommend!
